i only last august disassociated myself.

I dont think women are more gullible they are just more vunerable!

Most men seem sure of themselves or even if they arent they give that air about them.
And all know that the witnesses prey on vunerable people who need support

Did You Feel The Love As A Jehovah's Witness?

other than feeling "love bombed" when you first started associating with the "brotherhood", did you experience the "love" in your years within the organization?.

if you felt truly loved, was it in reality, a "conditional love"?.

I was lovebombed for about a year until I was made an unbaptised publisher.

With this was extra responsibility so it cooled off but was pretty good, quite a lot of love in my congregation

But since being demoated from unbaptised publisher there has been no love and some are ignoring me so I stopped attended

IT IS ALL CONDITIONAL LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!

JW policy on Girl Guides and Scouts?

i have come to this forum on the recommendation of an ex jehovah's witness who has been very helpful.

although he has given me some useful information, he suggested i post my question on here too to see what others have to say.

being new, i am not sure if i have chosen the right topic heading but if not forgive me!.

As the Subject of this post, Im not suprised at the replies that Heather got from some of you!

The elders said it would be fine for me to be a unit helper, then it wasnt acceptable if I wanted to serve Jehovah properly.

I left Brownies in the July of 2008 only 4months after this post was made. I became an unbaptised publisher in Feb 09 and was taken off in May09 for some 'serious' sins????? (Considering im only young a few drinks and sex is not serious!)

I went Back to Brownies in JUne 09 and am throughly enjoyed being back and working towards being a leader again.

Thankfully Im not completely screwed up but still have a kind of emotional connection to them that makes me want to go back and also im still suffering with JW guilt. Im being shunned by some of the members but have a few that will say Hello in the street.

Guilt trip

i got to thinking about something that happened a year ago.

i was drifting away from the org, when my sister-in-law told me i was being selfish.

she said she was at aloss for words as to what to tell her 11 year old daughter about me.

We've all had some kind of guilt trip. I'm still kind of in one.

My ex-study conductor told me that if I didn't serve Jehovah I wouldn't ever see my family again in the resserrection. Comforting when you have clinical depression!!!!
