has anyone else seen this site and is it as factaul as t appears to be?

Not that 'dramatic' I am afraid, the WTB is a publishing company who use the faith of it's followers/buyers for free labor and keep them buying/donating/and working for free by using 'cult' tactics. Maybe this is the best approch to bring them down- take them to the dept of consumer affairs and fair trading for emotional blackmail and extortion!
me and hubby stopped attending around 2000, and for some strange reason i have stored all the books we were using at that time.
i am so tempted to light the barbeque ...and burn the lot...as it is soooo cccold here in the north west of england!

I took all the books and dvds and wt's that were unmarked back to the KH and left them with a DA Letter and a request for a bill for the remainder of the stuff I did not return! (never got the bill- this would have proved my 'book club theory' correct!) the rest I have just finnished using in my new house to start our open fire place- funny how the mags add a green tinge to the flames.
The only i thing I regret about the books is not burning the lot- now they will just be used to trick someone else into the cult!

It may be just an observation on my part but isn't the story of creation in the bible actually a rip off of the Sumarian accounts of creation??? JW's are taught NOT to research their own history because when thay do- their eyes are opened! Hopefully one day all bible based religions will do the same and by this I mean research the history of the whole bible.

Wow Chicpea- at home births! not fair! I had my first natural in a hospital (we got there a day early first timmer- got a bit panicy lol), My second was my horror story I had been avoiding telling but any hoo- Emergancy, extremely last minute, do or die Csection! We made it through labour only for my 10pounder to get wedged and stuck at the last minute, it was close, but number 3 was a planned Csection as the scaring left from my second was too bad for a natural birth anywhere, so had no choice last time either. I still feel brave enough to do it one last time though, but not till next year and after I forget posting about my second birthing experiance lol but the pain was worth it!

I should have added to my earlier comment that it does not matter either way (male or famale) who does the delivery or after care- as long as you are comfortable with that person/persons- for mothers and their babies it is a very special time and needs to be as stress free as possible! The last thing we need after giving birth is to feel uncomfortable around the people who are suposed to taking care of us!
And Chalam- the last thing ANY woman needs to be told is that it is not only because of someone elses sin that makes childbirth painfull but the fact that it is GOD increaseing her PAIN! the bible god was definatly a MANS MAN!

Restrangled- I sympothise, only I walked out on a female doctor who had never givin birth for being rude and too 'rough handed' when i was pregnent with my second son. I prefer a sympothetic male doctor- My usual 'male' doctor even warms his hands up first! and the best care I was ever given in hospital after giving birth was from a male nurse (although he was a bit bashfull about helping me have a shower after a Csection- but he was still new to the maternity ward).

Spike- I have been researching proverbs and sayings from around the world, from the US "cunning men deal in generalizations!" and Japan "only a fool tests the water with both feet!" The only usefull 'proverb' I have found from the hebrew culture is this "never aproach a goat from the front, or a horse from the back nor a fool from any side!"...
