A sincere message to those from the organisation monitoring my posts....
by stuckinarut2 inso, i know there are some from my congregation or from bethel who monitor my posts..... maybe you're looking for something to catch me out?.
just a question: rather than trying to find fault with me, have you stopped and looked into the issues or facts about the organisation that caused me to come to a place like this forum??.
facts are there for anyone to find nowadays....one just has to be willing to pull their head out of the sand.....

Ancient Israel brought a lot suffering on it's people because of misguided men who chose their own ways. Similar today. Nothing new. -

WT Study 1/10/16 Encouraging Child Baptism And More Nonsense
by JW_Rogue ini've noticed that each wt lesson really only has one or two points they want remembered.
normally they build up to these by about the third subheading.
this week's lesson though was different, the main point was insidiously made through an experience in the first paragraph:.

Though I disagree with many views on this site, this one I do agree on. We are told that marriage is a commitment and to wait past the bloom of youth. We are told baptism is a "dedication" and is greater than a commitment. How much more so should one wait past the bloom of youth for baptism then?

Im sick of my life
by BlackWolf insorry but i really feel like i need to rant right now.
recently my dad was made an elder so my family has been doing a lot more "theocratic" activities lately.
every morning i wake up and put on my itchy dress and stupid makeup and heels and then pretend that i love what i'm doing and that everybody is my friend when in reality i feel horrible and all the other teenage girls at my hall hate me for some reason.

Baptism will not make you "fit in" or make your life "better" unless you absolutely want to and understand the full ramifications it. Take your time. Do it because "you" want to not because everyone else is doing or parents make you. Ask your parents, does God want me to get baptized if I don't feel Im ready? -

Evidence of Human Activity in Northern Siberia 45,000 years ago.
by fulltimestudent inthis information makes the biblical dating of human origins a sad joke.
quote: " when they dated the remains, the researchers got another surprise: the mammoth died 45,000 years ago.
that means that humans lived in the arctic more than 10,000 years earlier than scientists believed, according to a new study.

Lurkers: Is it true that no servant of Jehovah in the bible celebrated birthdays?
by juandefiero indid you know that job's family celebrated birthdays?
the word translated "his own day" at job 1:4 is the same word translated "day of his birth" in job 3:1. .
seems deceptive, does it not, to change that translation.

There are some real beauties posted here!
by stillin inthis one is worth repeating.
it was buried in a thread and u've been thinking about it all day.. a quote from mark twain, one of my all-time heroes.. "it's easier to fool a man than it is to convince him that he has been fooled.".
isn't that the truth....

Dr Wilder-Smith (A former evolutionist 3 earned doctorate scientist)
"The Evolutionary model says that it is not necessary to assume the existence of anything, besides matter and energy, to produce life. That proposition is unscientific. We know perfectly well that if you leave matter to itself, it does not organize itself - in spite of all the efforts in recent years to prove that it does."

You sound pretty immature. The single guy must really be gullible. My experience is if someone will cheat on one then they will cheat on another. You made the bed now you don't really want to lay in it. Not how it works. Discipline makes you rethink your mistakes, whether its from a church or those who love you.
Deal with it and don't remarry so fast. Jumping from one set of problems to another is no way to live either. So slow down, mediate and write down your life's goals and ambitions. Then move towards those goals at a reasonable pace. If you still want to marry the guy then do so with your mind not just your heart. Only fools rush in.
PS:Your ex moved away because you caused him pain, sorrow and hurt his reputation as a man. And all your concerned about here is yourself. Pretty sad really.

Is the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses really an inferior form of Christianity?
by nicolaou inseems to be quite a few posters recently pulling down the beliefs of jw's as not biblical or truly christian.
maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong, i really don't care.. in some important ways though mainstream christians often behave better than jehovah's witnesses; most don't practice shunning or impose lethal medical prohibitions on their members.
many are far more tolerant of the lgbt community and a few even make the awkward attempt to square the fact of evolution with their faith.. please note that i'm saying some, not all.. so i suppose it's fair to say that differing forms of christianity can be better or worse for individuals, families and the wider community.

The religion is fine. It just needs some minor and major tweaks. Dont we all.
