so as many know....ive been df'd goin on 19 years already.

i drive pops to meetings, and drop him off on saturdays for fs.. well yesterday, the elders ask to speak to me, and tell me that if i plan on returning to jehovah, i had better shave my beard off..

Mad puppy. No offense, but are you young, like 15 or something? I haven't been to a meeting in years. I was converted at 25 and now at 55 run a large corporation myself. My strengths are common sense, which is not so common anymore, business and marketing development along with employee development to mention a few.

I find immature ones and many employees have a "one track" mind and unable to see the "whole picture". They have no idea of the scope, veracity and intentional fortitude necessary for running a company. I have no "buddies' and this site is called Jehovahs-Witness.com last time I checked, not anti-jw.com though many like you have steered it in that direction. Chillax. I'm not your enemy.

Nothing on this site has moved me to denounce the faith though it be the intent of many. Therefore the name choice.

Both sides, the so called "apologists" and the "anti-jw's" are both rude in this thread. It's counterproductive.

Times are changing with beards, even with some brothers. Big corporations take time to change. If they change at all. If they don't and the beard trend continues there will be less to appoint. Time will tell.

To the OP. Laugh all you want. I run a business and I set the policies. Business's or religions have the right to set policies. We can either follow them or leave. Simple.

the 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.

the 2 months of donation increase is not enough: the thousands of projects are not a 2 month project.. so: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (heh heh heh) and send us more!

personal conclusion: if i had any doubts that the society is sincere, this openly money grabbing has made my perception complete.

Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?

this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.

the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.

i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

I had a strong faith in a creator before becoming a witness at 25. Them, nor this site has changed that over the years. Only made it stronger.

Most JW's or those who believe many of the teachings such as myself usually wont speak up. Why? Because a group of bully atheists, homosexuals and apostates will gang up on you and do the exact thing they blame the JW's for doing. Yeah, real inviting.

i just watched this clip on youtube....i can't begin to say how it made me feel.

, i'm not sure who i am more annoyed about.

the bloke doing the commentry, the punk shouting at a serious and should be respectful religious event, or some of the youtube comments that follow.. and i find this so disrespectful.

It's OK to be an Apostate ... but only if you're on the Governing Body

look at the governing body.

none of them believe now what the wts believed back when they were born and later baptized.. so why aren't they disfellowshipped for apostasy?.

simple - because the true beliefs are always taken to mean whatever they currently consider them to be.. think about it - they can never be apostates because whatever they decide to believe becomes "the truth" and anyone not believing it is then guilty of apostasy, even if they believe things the wts has taught them all their lives.. if you do believe in the bible and jesus story, do you think this is what he intended?

Ancient Israel had leaders who propagated their interpretation. Not always on the mark but nevertheless allowed by God. If they veered too far many common folk Jews suffered. Still the leeway was given and everyone had to abide by their judgement calls of the day. Could be similar today.
