  did you know that job's family celebrated birthdays?

  the word translated "his own day" at job 1:4 is the same word translated "day of his birth" in job 3:1. .

  seems deceptive, does it not, to change that translation.

  You sound pretty immature. The single guy must really be gullible. My experience is if someone will cheat on one then they will cheat on another. You made the bed now you don't really want to lay in it. Not how it works. Discipline makes you rethink your mistakes, whether its from a church or those who love you.

  Deal with it and don't remarry so fast. Jumping from one set of problems to another is no way to live either. So slow down, mediate and write down your life's goals and ambitions. Then move towards those goals at a reasonable pace. If you still want to marry the guy then do so with your mind not just your heart. Only fools rush in.

  Is the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses really an inferior form of Christianity?

  seems to be quite a few posters recently pulling down the beliefs of jw's as not biblical or truly christian.

  maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong, i really don't care.. in some important ways though mainstream christians often behave better than jehovah's witnesses; most don't practice shunning or impose lethal medical prohibitions on their members.

  many are far more tolerant of the lgbt community and a few even make the awkward attempt to square the fact of evolution with their faith.. please note that i'm saying some, not all.. so i suppose it's fair to say that differing forms of christianity can be better or worse for individuals, families and the wider community.

  there are only four letters in the genetic alphabet (acg&t) each word or codon is the recipe for one amino acid.

  there are 20 different amino acids in living organisms.

  I don't express my wealth to brag but it seems a few mention here as if its an evil. Just showing that a "belief" can change ones life emotionally, spiritually and even financially.

  It's obvious many here have reached their own conclusions and that is fine. It's the imposition that is crass, not my mention of wealth. So carry on. I wish you all the best. Nothing stated here or any other evolutionary readings I've divulged in has made me an unbeliever. Quite the contrary, it has strengthened me. Have a nice day and see you in another thread. Because looking from the outside of the picture this debate will rage on just as it has for couple 1000 years and will not be solved within this thread. ;-)

  Well said James Brown. Love how the small minded minority love to impose their belief system on others but lash out vehemently against those who don't agree. Hypocrites.

  Many people, including scientists and religions, are inside a picture. Until one can step outside the picture they cannot get a good view of the whole photo. As I stepped outside my views broadened. For instance. I grew up in an extremely poor family, was bussed to an all black school and was voted least likely to succeed in high school. I was on that path until one day I stepped outside and looked. When I did I was able to change my views, belief system and alter my circumstances.

  I now one several companies, own a few industry forums and become financially wealthy. I see it the same with science, religion and evolutionists. They are "conditioned" to view life or need to try and disprove a creator to justify a life style, the beginning of life and the future from a biased perspective. Then in they try to impose that upon the weak minded. Cofty certainly fits in that mold. He is stuck inside the picture. Worse, he cannot handle constructive criticism, which is evident by his need to lash out vehemently against us.

  The debate has raged for 1000's years. I doubt a conversation on a semi-religious board is miraculously going to solve life's finite beginning.

  PS:Opinions rage in science just like religion. There are tons of science debate sites/forums and they cant agree on any more than this board. I know it seems like the world revolves around you Cofty but it doesn't.

  That is your opinion Cofty and your certainly entitled. I am a rational, intelligent and wealthy person. Yet I am not convinced of evolution. I know your type. You have to prove or try to prove something to justify your new belief system. I am ok with that. I am not ok with your attempt at imposing your views on others or belittling them for their belief system.

  The strangest looking (and acting) nut jobs you have ever seen at the KH!

  there are so many after after 52 years in the "borg".. my top two would have to be at my last hall tigard oregon.. one lady slept in her pickup truck with 30 parakeets, sometimes in the kh parking lot.

  people tried to help her with accommodations but she like the truck.

  she really dressed up for the meetings......feather boa's, big hats, looked like may west from the 30's.
