1) when my mother first came in 'da troooof' this wacky, over zealous 'sister' was studying with her - you know the type.
this woman was one of those not so subtle individuals who would always talk loud in conversation and say the name jehovah a million times even when the conversation could have been about basketball.
This has nothing to do with this zealot's faith, but it was an embarassing moment. An uber Pioneer during a meeting decides to clean out her ears. She takes her baby's pacifier out of the kids mouth and wiggles it in her ear for a while. Then she sticks it back in the kid's mouth. It was during a meeting, and I was sitting behind them.

I thought about doing one today. I was doing a fitting of bulletproof vests, and thought about putting a huge (64 chest) vest on a little woman (size 4) to see her reaction. I passed though, to feign being a professional.

i think of a reporter that breaks a huge story about some corruption in the government who won't reveal his source of information.
the government uses anti-terrorist laws against that reporter to try to force him to speak.
the laws are designed to protect the people and are used in a warped way to protect the government and allow it to hide it's corruption.

It is a delicate tightrope walk, isn't it? What to give up, what to stand firm on. I live this each day. It is temporary though, as I have only one family member that I couch my words for, to protect that relationship and also her.
