  Guess who's coming to Thanksgiving Dinner?

  i might be having both active jws and ex-jws at the same table for thanksgiving.. the ex-jws will know who is an active jw.

  but, should i tell the active jws that there are going to be ex-jws at the dinner?.

  i am not going to announce the other denominations present - atheist, catholic, muslim, jew, etc.

  Almighty Jehovah and Little Jesus

  i remember my dad screaming at my mother and oldest sister that they were god almighty and little jesus.

  god, i hated being locked in a bedroom with my sisters and my my mother, just trying not to get beat.

  we always studied the watchtower, which just made me negative toward it later in life.

God, I hated being locked in a bedroom with my sisters and my my mother, just trying not to get beat. We always studied the Watchtower, which just made me negative toward it later in life. We just jumped for joy when he went out for beer, and we could come out and be quasi-normal. Then he came back and we had to hide.

  anyway, i was appointed by the teacher and didn't think much of it as an 8-9 year old.

  Yeah, Andre. I was the first Andre. But I was real. And I had to sacrifice the rest of my youth to feed the Borg, just for a f**ing experience to feed the flock. My sisters did not have to go through what I did, but they were like me, out of the house at 17.

  I had a CO rewrite my family script. It had to be much harsher than reality. My father then later, unbeknownst to us, decided to come to the assembly. He saw our demonstration. It became a prophesy fulfilled, he hit us with everything he had afterwards. My chilldhood was a living hell. Many parts are repressed.

  i admit i'm confused with percentages.. what is 7 million (witnesses) as a percentage of 7 billion (rest of the world)?.

  1,000,000 as a percentage of 1,000,000,000 = 0.001.. 7,000,000 as a percentage of 7,000,000,000 = 0.001 .

  is that one tenth of one per cent?.

  I understand your dilemma juxtaposing the smear that they label "apostates" as "metally diseased," with the high numbers of people with true mental illness among their ranks. The religion appeals to people with mental disorders, and also makes members crazy with their teachings that make no sense. Many are suffering from "cognative dissonance" trying to reconcile conflicting statements from the organization.
