Reniaa, the verses you qouted say nothing about Apostasy. I am familiar with them and they are about not being quarellsome or argumentative. Sometimes you swallow your pride for the good of the congregation and let things go. Even if you choose not to heed that advice it just makes you a pain in ass not an apostate. To be an Apostate you must leave the org and actively work to bring it down.

I commented about apostates today at the meeting
by cognac ini couldn't help myself.
it was so obnoxious what the paragraph was saying about apostates.. so i said that having a difference of opinion is not a problem but really as brought out by thessolonians it is when a person raises themselves up above god to have people follow them instead of god that they are considered bad in god's eyes.. i don't even know if it had anything to do with the question, but i just wanted to say that, lol..

I started a group Meetup.com. You can join for free. We have about 4 or 5 people still trying to find a good time to meet up. We are mainly trying to get together for support and to have a good time. Apostates welcome though! I guess it depends on your definition. Personally I don't consider myself an Apostate I am too apathethic about the org to bother fighting them.
Anyone else interested? I was trying to set something up for next Sunday. You have to join to see where it will be, I don't want to risk anyones confidentiality that might still have ties with the org.
To answer the question: Went to Rockfish once it was OK. Not bad if you like seafood. Nothing too special.

Don't go anywhere. You helped me a lot with the email you sent me a couple of weeks ago. I have really made progress as far as understanding the source of a lot of my anxieties. I decided to start a new screen name so I wouldn't get found out. I am sending you a PM.

You are definitely in trouble now! I actually remember a time about 15 years ago where that comment would have been ok. Seems like the grip is tighter, I thank God every day I am out.

Christians risk rejection and discrimination for their faith in Britain.
by BurnTheShips inthe first poll of britain's churchgoers, carried out for the sunday telegraph, found that thousands of them believe they are being turned down for promotion because of their faith.. one in five said that they had faced opposition at work because of their beliefs.. more than half of them revealed that they had suffered some form of persecution for being a christian.. the findings suggest a growing hostility towards religion in this country, which has been highlighted by a series of clashes between churchgoers and their employers.. and so on.

I think the Abortion picture is disgusting but for other reasons than beks I guess. Pictures like this made me start to research what a fetus is and lead to my current position against elective abortion for contraceptive purposes.
I wonder where Beks works that she doesn't know much about her coworkers. I have only been at my job for less than two years. I have 60 people in my department. I'd say about 20 of them or so I have met their spouses/partners and had serious talks about God and faith with a dozen. In a department of 60 people there is always a funeral or party happening. Maybe you just work with a bunch of cold bastards that don't talk to eachother. Anyhow my Boss is gay and we all get a long. Everyone is respectful, that's the key to getting along at work and the message boards. LOL.

Happy District Convention Experience - "Our Pioneer family ate food from the gutter."
by Witness 007 inyes how impressed i was 3 years ago at the district convention no less, when a pioneer family came out kids and all...the talk was on "sacrifice.
" the parents saying how dad works part-time in a crap job just for petrol money and bare necessities!
they relate how one day after witnessing the had no money left due to car repairs for food, but.....jehover provides...a vegetable truck must have taken a corner too fast and dropped some produce in the gutter....dinner said the pioneer kids....jehovahs blessing on us!.

It's not a Pioneer story but do any of yall remember this story:
Two sisters are in a Nazi concentration camp during WWII. The rations were very meager and all they had to do was sign a retraction of their faith to be released. They decided if they didn't retract they would surely starve to death. They signed the retractions and the Nazi guards release them into the wilderness immediately. After wandering through the forest a few days the Soviet Army finds them and they are taken as prisoners. The Soviets who didn't see the point in feeding prisoners at all starve them to death and the die.
Moral of story: Hovah, gonna get you!!!!!! Amazing the scare tactics they used. I was a child and found something completely f-cked up about this story. Personally, it could be but I doubt it's true.

When the liberals finnally figure out the Muslim nations are not our friends who do you supposed they'll call on to clean up the mess?
I think we all know it's going to be a guy that can tell you what Jesus means to him while hiting a pie plate at 150 yards with no scope. God Help us, all.
Before I get called names, I know many fine individuals that are muslim or from the mideast. They came here and left there for a good reason. However the unchecked immigration is letting in the bad apples and agents of foreign governments in with honest folks. All 19 hijackers on 9-11 entered the U.S. legally.

OK, I am hooked and the new season starts tonight. Plus the show looks great on my new HDTV. Here is my question:
Why is this not piracy? It is clear the Japanese have the right to kill these whales legally, even thought I find it disgusting.
Here is the synopsis of the show for those who don't know:
The Facts:
Commercial Whaling was banned by an international agreement.
Part of that agreement gave the Japanese the right to take 500 Meinke whales and 50 fin whales per year for "reasearch" purposes.
The Sea Sheperds are a group of Whale lovers that attack and disable the Japanes ships when they go to Anartic area to harvest these whales.
Bonus Question: There has been passionate discussion about the man that killed the Abortion doctor. How do you think the two situations compare?
