Sorry guys, but let me share with you a true story. Years ago while I was still a JW, delivering for Dominoe's Pizza I had a nice little moment of inspiration. I came up with the line: "Life is a joke. Most people don't get it yet. Those of us who do aren't laughing, because it's not funny."
Mind you, I laugh at THAT today.
Life is not the joke. I am.
It seems to me that "taking life seriously" needs belief behind it as well. I prefer another approach. To say that I am a joke is not a sign of low self esteem, it is NO self esteem. Sure, I get moody like everybody else. But my friends, in the final analysis I really don't see a "me."
