There is a product that is sold through chiropractors and acupuncturists called UltraClear, they have one for liver cleanse and one for GI cleanse. It's basically a powder supplement mix that you can use with a juice fast. You should have a comprehensive program though, in the past I've used it by eating brown rice and veggies for a day, then going on the UC w/fresh juices for 3, then back to the rice & veggie then regular food. (with fewer servings of UC on the transition days - I seem to recall anything under 1200 calories a day is supposed to be medically supervised) The bottom line is you need to try to eat a clean diet the rest of the time, otherwise you will only feel good for a little while.

More from Tolle, from the book The Power of Now:
You have probably come across "mad" people in the street incessantly talking or muttering to themselves. Well, that's not that much different from what you and all other "normal" people do, except that you don't do it out loud. The voice comments, speculates, judges, compares, complains, likes, dislikes, and so on. The voice isn't necessarily relevant to the situation you find yourself in at the time; it may be reviving the recent or distant past or rehearsing or imagining possible future situations. Here it often imagines things going wrong and negative outcomes; this is called worry. Sometimes this soundtrack is accompanied by visual images or "mental movies." Even if the voice is relevant to the situation at hand, it will interpret it in terms of the past. This is because the voice belongs to your conditioned mind, which is the result of all your past history as well as of the collective cultural mind-set you inherited. So you see and judge the present through the eyes of the past and get a totally distorted view of it. It is not uncommon for the voice to be a person's own worst enemy. Many people live with a tormentor in their head that continuously attacks and punishes them and drains them of vital energy. It is the cause of untold misery and unhappiness, as well as of disease.
The good news is that you can free yourself from your mind. This is the only true liberation. You can take the first step right now. Start listening to the voice in your head as often as you can. Pay particular attention to any repetitive thought patterns, those old gramophone records that have been playing in your head perhaps for many years. This is what I mean by "watching the thinker," which is another way of saying: listen to the voice in your head, be there as the witnessing presence.

Vita, it can be confusing, but sometimes it takes some courage to question your beliefs. Support is nice, but people at where you are now (going through what you're going through) may not know what to do either. Listen to people who've "been there" for some ideas.

Mentioned this before, just putting it in this thread:

finding friends outside the Borg - a Scary thought
by lydia inhas anyone else found that the teaching of the "outside world" being a "bad association" limits your involvement and ability to make new freinds?.
if so how have you overcome this and any suggestions to helping those suffering from these feelings?.

Lydia it's kind of different for me, in that I've always been kind of reserved. In a way that's good because I don't have any strong ties in the org, but I'm also not a lot more outgoing than I used to be. In my case I think it's just the way I am, I prefer dealing with people one on one rather than a lot of people at once.

ANTHRAX for sure this time! woah nelly better run!
by bboyneko inyeah like, my boss's friends uncle called me the other day and said that at least 50 crazed rabid arabs ran into the local taco bell and like threw a giant beaker marked with a skull and cross bones on the floor and then they ran away laughing, outside a helicopter dropped a rope ladder and the arabs climbed on and flew off, all the while laughing manicaly and chanting 'death to the infidels!
' .
although you may read only local newspapers reporting this incident, and although the local papers say only that 2 hispanic males ordered a mountain dew and it spilled and then they left the taco bell cursing the management, my version is the honest truth and not sensationalism at all!.

The disturbing thing about ALL religions
by Leander inover the past couple of years i've been really questioning myself about why i have doubts about the wts and even the bible.. even though i've been raised as jw all of my life i've often felt that i was'nt really a religious person.
unlike some of the people around me i just could'nt (and still can't) work up any excitement about the bible.. so after much thought i've come to the conclusion that the disturbing thing about all religions is that fear is emphasized more so than love.
some might argue and say that the bible teaches just the opposite, some will no doubt think about the scripture "god loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son".

Hi Leander,
Just a reply to your first message here. That does appear to be the case with many Judeo-Christian churches, and actually even some other traditions as well.
I would suggest that we examine this issue from the perspective of human behavior. Fear is a very primative instinct, and frankly it is simply not a very enlightened way of behaving if that is the motivation that is driving a person. While I wouldn't agree with things like repressing your sexual drive, I would point out a difference between using our mind rather than going with these basic instincts.. For example, most people wouldn't want to have sex with a real jerk. Even when there's an opportunity to satisfy that urge, most people do have their standards.
That's just one example. But for me what it comes down to is if I am in control of myself, it doesn't matter if witnesses or anybody else use fear as an appeal - because I have removed that trigger. It depends on the group I think, the particular church/organization you might associate with, and what they emphasize. On the other end of the extreme is the "lets do whatever we want" approach. Well, realistically that wouldn't differentiate a religious group from anyone else, other than they believe in this and that.. You might also question whether the moral teachings and such have any practical value too if it's just all about us being imperfect. (which always seems to be a nice excuse for an organization..)
This can be tricky I think, because there's a tendancy to think of discipline as another type of conditioning. Granted practice in any type of discipline is essential, but I think what it comes down to is that it's an unconditioned mental function. I think this is possible, and when you have such a frame of mind these fear based religions will be seen as nothing more than the silly foolishness that they are. You still care about those who are hurt, but you are not reacting to them - it comes straight from the heart.
