What's going on with these TV politics? Directv has started to posted some news on their channels that Viacom is asking their customers to pay more for their channels. They own mostly all the major networks like MTV, BET, Tvland, Nick, etc. Both these companies are trying to get viewers to call in for their sides. If you have Directv, you might be out of quite a few channels today.

Has Anyone Seen "Prometheus"?
by Low-Key Lysmith ini loved it!
but then, it went right along with my own personal beliefs concerning mankind's origins, so i'm a little biased.. wondering what a religious person's thoughts would be?.

I seen it a few weeks ago. It made me kind of angry with the characters actions. I too, was dumbfounded with the way a team of scientists reacted on a new planet wit new organisms. It's things on this planet you wouldn't touch, let alone on some unknown planet. People aren't that naive. While watching it, I did think of religion but not to the degree that was really represented in the movie. I'll have to see it again. There's a pretty good breakdown of it on YouTube. The guy "RallisP" goes chapter by chapter on it. He does makes assumptions and comes off as cynical at times.
I don't know how to embed the video. Sooooo.....if someone can do it for me.

The Vent of Whathehadas
by whathehadas ini wish i could go back and get away from all the time i spent sitting in those kingdom hall seats.
i wish i could go back and take back all those comments made for the watchtower and book study.. i wish i could go back and take back all the money spent on buying suits and book bags.. i wish i could go back and take all the money......no wait....some of the money that i placed in the donation box.. i wish i could go back and hang with all the friends labeled as bad association.. all in all, i hate that orginization.
the time spent there worrying about my "spirituality" and trying to be happy amongst fakeness.

I don't want to cry over spilled milk, but it hurts to be lied to, intentionally and unintentionally. I can't get that time back. There was some good that I got from that experience. Though it was very minimal.

When you left the JW/WT religion, were you really an adult ?
by Phizzy ini spent decades in the religion, i was born in, so my world view, my education, my social skills, all were dictated by and controlled by the "religion".. i feel that when i left i was immature in many ways, i had never faced my own mortality, i knew nothing of the reality of evolution, i had never voted in an election, i had never donated blood, i had never confronted the reality of the bibles status etc etc etc.. it was like a child walking off in to the blue yonder, no knowledge, no experience.. the main problem was, i had never really made my own decisions, i had never had to consider all the evidence and then decide for myself.. it was frightening and yet exilarating at the same time, but i was woefully equipped for the real world.. how did you feel ?
confidant ?
perplexed ?

To add to this. It felt like I been in prison my whole life and have been fed with the prison food/religious doctrine. I'm trying to reinvent myself and stop being shy.

I felt like a 17yr old, Socially and emotionally. I had to virtually start over with my views towards society and the human race as a whole. I've made friends and feel a little bit more comfortable around those with those with philosophical views on life. I'm still trying to get use to dating and being comfortable around the opposite sex. Primarily due to the societies strict rules on courtship, which I never really did in the borg, I'm socially retarded in this aspect. This is the thing that really bothers me. I've never kissed a girl and I'm still a virgin at 29yrs old. This fact I can't escape......since I'm constantly reminded of this by looking and being around other people! I didn't think much about this while I was in. I had desires but always attributed them to man's evil and imperfect nature. I never thought that maybe....this was a natural thing for man. Point blank.....it's a embarrassing aspect of my life. The lie I believe that this world is so morally degraded. Yeah right. I've been away from the borg for almost 3yrs and I haven't fell into a "sinful life" as the WT mentions so often. I've been to clubs and parties and haven't experienced no sex crazed lifestyle, and it's not like I haven't been fighting against. That WT talk is BULLSHYTE! Most people do have a moral code minus all the religious dogma. In this sense.....with all the emotional and social baggage, I can't say that I'm a adult. Maybe in a few years after fully recovering.

All in all, I hate that orginization. The time spent there worrying about my "spirituality" and trying to be happy amongst fakeness. The time spent that has no monetary value. Time that I will always remember and never be able to get back. The Time that I had low self esteem and was easily manipulated. The time spent having social anxiety, which I still have today. The Time spent listening to the half-truths and outright lies. The time wasted waking up, and going out in Field Service.
I see why a lot of people are angry and rightfully so. I hate this bosturd religion and hope they burn in their own fiery hell!

indoctrination......"We are the friends, they are the enemies, and this is why?" A person comes into the Org for the first part-friends- and then they start to believe the other half.

I have never understood how these big sports complexes somehow manage to park hundreds if not thousands of cars once a week all season long without 100 guys standing around flapping their arms "directing" yet the most loving organization in the world cannot park themselves without instruction. Blind Of Lies
I never understood that either, and Why couldn't they just PAY some outside source to do the parking duties? So the "brothers" would not have any distractions and could be in their seat for the program. I hated having to do parking every year! Some of the "brothers and sisters" were the biggest DOUCHEBAGS ever!

I'm sorry for not Warning of the graphic nature of the video. This incident was horrific and there should have been better precautions. The people should have been better trained for sure but the whole situation is unpredictable with a Animal. I cringed at the video and couldn't stop laughing at the comments of it. Though they were outlandish and plain insensitive. They were funny like what was on the Bull's IPod? LOL
