Sorry, I have to put my two cents back in. Someone just emailed me the video of the beheading. I did not complete watching it. It's disturbing, and I am very sad for his family, that this is being exploited online.

i know that the issue of the man being beheaded by the iraqis has been discussed already but they just played the sound of the beheading on talk radio (shawn hannity).
this is absolutely horrible.....the sound of him screaming just makes me ill.

In APPRECIATION- For the Computer TECHIES out there

I gotta jump in with a big Thanks also! I would probably still be staring at my blank screen trying to figure out how to turn my computer on if it werent for you guys. My computer crashes, I dont call tech support, I dont open up the manual, I dont go online and try to troubleshoot it myself. Instead I go to the JWD board and ask for help:)

i live in wash. state.....i was a jw up untill like 4 years ago......im now 16....so u do the math........i had no friends while i was a jw....so when i got out i had a rough time makeing some...now im haveing the time of my life....being "worldly" is great!!!.

Sometimes it's not that easy Laura. Sometimes all it takes is getting the wrong haircut, wearing the wrong thing, being seen by someone's mom talking to the wrong person. Saying teh wrong thing at a baby shower and having one girl in teh congregation not like you, then her mom not liking you, then that mom telling another mom that you're a bad association. All it takes sometimes is the smallest thing to become a "bad association." I've seen it happen over and over again.

Met others that led a more fullfilling, and Godly life than most witnesses.
Hey Fredom...... this was a changing point for me as well. When I finally talked to "worldly" people and realized that they werent all waiting to slit my throat. I thought to myself "they seem more sincere than many witnesses I know. It's not all about meeting the protocal with them. What do they know taht I dont know?" Man, when I finally started to find out what they knew that I didnt, it blew my mind.

It has always amazed me that teachers, who are a very big influence on our kids as they grow up to help mold them into the adults they will become, dont get the appreciation that is due to them. When someone can make a music video and stand there and look pretty to sell a can of pop and make millions. It's a warped reality of our society. I had a couple teachers in highschool that taught me things that I still hold on to. My AP History teacher my Junior year of highschool was my first real exposure to an educated, intelligent woman, who spoke her mind, and knew what she was talking about! I am all for teacher salary increases, oh yah, and a limo with a driver to a from work as a standard policy :)

Not only the "Watchtower" but a vast majority of religions today have been warped so much over changing generations, it's hard to take MOST of them at face value. Especially ANY that claim the are the ONLY direct contact with "God."

Amen Sphere... you have a very good point there. These stories continue to sadden me when I read them. Anytime the innocence of a child is compromised is a great Tragedy. Gotta say, my father was no Saint Peter, but I am very greatful to him that he was a DECENT Father.
