But I LOVE the lyrics to Irish blood English Heart. It's been getting heavy air play both here and across teh pond and I havent gotten sick of it yet. I saw him live a few years ago and the highlight for me was when he sang "Meat is Murder" with a red backdrop, bathed in a red light, laying on his back and writhing all over the floor

i recall a jw couple having a garage sale, and they teamed up with one of their neighbors.

i am going to embark on an adventure of dating outside of the jw's, i am currently fading so worried people will see me, but so be it.

i have some apprehension just because of all the negetive conitations that exist with worldly people, afraid i will never meet someone outside the organization that could meet my needs.

but i am taking a leap of faith and seeing what will happen.

it was refreshing not to have the guilt of no chaperone, or if you wanted to have some fun..

Good point Sas. I felt guilty at first ie: "Oh my God! I'm alone in a house with a 'boy,' now we have to have sex. But I dont want to have sex. Oh no, what do I do? What's he going to do."

I found the desire to "have sex" really wasnt quite as strong when I began "unchaperoned" dating. When I dated as JW if we were alone in a car or in a house for a few minutes it was like "crap, we're unchaperoned, we're gonna have sex now." There's this expectation by everyone that that's what happens. I actually got to know people so much deeper when dating worldlies :) The long deep unchaperoned talks make all the difference

lol Shot gun has a point. That's how I usually get a date. I've given up the trying to look pretty, stimulating conversation, and drinks, and I just skip right to clubbing the man of my choice over the head and dragging him back to my place by his hair while unconscience. (Not to be confused with slipping someone a rufie, by the way)

No you wont Nemo. It will take a while to adjust. When I first left and was dating, being an ex-jw was all I could talk about :)

It took me a while to realize that most guys just dont care :) But be honest about it. The guy I was dating as I was leaving hated religion so much and especially the Witnesses that he started to make me much angrier than I ever should have been. Dont let others influence you like that. But go out have fun, 'sow your oats'. You're going to need to get that outta your system before you can settle down with a quality person.

Or you could be one of the rare lucky ones who finds the man of her dreams on the first try. gggrrrrrrrrrrr

p.s. maybe you should try getting a hair cut :)

Hey Dan! I agree with you. Her performance was in the truest form. It was raw. Having no acting experience and being cast simply for her eyes. It was pure and unadulterated. THAT's the beauty of this film.

Wow, Chevy, I have eaten at that restaurant, the Dorf Haus, in Roxbury (Sauk City). Are the owners/Maiers JWs stilll? That "town" is Sauk Prairie, a combination of Sauk City and Prairie du Sac. I wonder if she went to the Portage or the Baraboo congregation? Small world, eh?

Blondie That's the one alright! Actually it's the mother's side. Her mother and father were witnesses. He died in a Firecracker accident about 15 or 16 years ago. Her mother eventually faded out. It's her grandparents that own the resturant. I'm not sure if they still are or not, but will certainly find out. I'll ask her which congregation she went to. YES! What a small world after all :)
