i was reading a thread on here the other day, and it occured to me.

the very thing i have claimed in the title.. reading you all bickering over a certain subject.

i assumed that some of you are only here to genuinely to create arguments, and i saw that some are genuinely lost and some of you dont believe they are lost but they are.. i saw you judging your fellow posters as if you knew something, but truth be told none of us do.

you can try to encourage an argument from this thread, undermining the point of it all.

so curiously, these few words of 'whats the point in arguing'

will take you a good few posts to undo while i take a piss and smoke a cigarette,

all the time respecting your point that you didnt really make in trying to create a

conflicting argument from this.

yes coondawg, we got to talk about these things. our best basis, pretty much, from learning is from one an other.

we cant do this if we try to place our views, or even if we present our supposed views as fact. we are all in the same boat.

we're all looking for some answers. unless of course we think we already have answers.

then we arent open to answers if we think we're right.

we close our minds.

but this existence that we inhabit is astounding. we got all sorts of shit going on.

and i expect to be pulled up on using the word shit to exhibit the complexities of all this.

and forgive me, but i'll go so far as to say

you're all a bunch of eegits if you give little credence to all of this.

whatever way you want to look at it.

but lets not WASTE.. yep WASTE our thought processes on arguing.

or even being the thing that once held us in derision.

we have the opportunity to step forward from our psycological binds.

rather than fall back and resort to the same old shit.

i have found some powerful reinforcements when people have stated their " epiphany moment "... please share some.. my turning pointing began when i was badly hurt by a person i had always viewed as a literal brother.

i realized that if his.

i had lived a life of debauchery, i knew it was in my best interests to get away from it, so i decided to go back to the bible i once knew.

i quit the crap i was involved with, and i started to read my bible again.

i had been given a very old bible, i dont know where it came from.

and i used it for reference. this was just before the internet in fact. maybe about the same time as it took off, about 91.

it turned out the bible was an old bible students bible or something. it had 1914 as the end of the world and russels name in it no less.

that started an awakening, and even a mental breakdown after finding out my whole world was false.

i looked through the pc watchtower library and found things that upset me.

then i found more in the 'big' reference bible

i had a total breakdown.

looooong story that i cant be bothered to type. along with everything else that went with it.

really, i cant be bothered. but i found out the old fashioned way.

and many years later.. and many many thing i also truthfully cannot be bothered to type,

here i am now.

life is lonely in my understanding of things.

thats just the way it is. boo hoo.

but i sincerely wish the best on those exiting.

it is, an unbelievably painful experience having your whole world and understanding of absolutely everything

pulled out, like a rug, from beneath you.

and to endure it alone without this, that we have here, the meeting up on this internet.

and all that comes with it. im sorry for those that have the experience,

yet im gratified and proud of those that saw through the lies.

i cant be bothered to say anymore. but i wish you the best.

nomad i read your post several times just to make sure.

no, im not wanting to shout down anyones freedom of speech. i think you missed the point i was trying to make.

FREE YOUR SPEECH.. go on.. do it.. but dont inflict it.. and dont ridicule.

now thats where we're crossing lines.

and yeh, honestly.. what gives you or i the right or the backing to talk down to people..

you got the freedom.. so you have indeed.. and im not arguing against your 'freedom'

that would be 'becoming what we hated' in another sense

no way, im not up for that.

there are many thought provoking points to be made. and they NEED to be made.

in an environment where we are searching through ideas and ideologies.

but as soon as we begin to present ideas and ideologies ( i prob spelt that wrong again)

as fact then we assume the role of those that inflicted things with peer pressure onto us once before.

we have all travelled some kind of path, that has led us to certain conclusions and questions.

some of which we will meet in the middle on, some of which we wont.

but as soon as we start to ridecule others on their answers to things we feel we have reached the conlusion on, all be it with nothin but conjecture

in all honesty.

then we become the very thing that we despise.

that which assumes without understanding,

word taken without profound knowledge.

without even if you like 'obsessive thought upon'

its how the geniuses roll... im told.

but we seem to accept a thought process that suits us, and in all honesty..

if you want to split hairs, all the theories have holes in em.

so why should we inflict our religious or even our secular theories on others

with any authority.

we are all in the same spot.

quantum physics is theory.

evolution is theory

creationism is theory

black holes, even are theory.

why should i have you, or anyone else call me dumb for favouring one above the other.

and now... let the splitting of hairs commence.

We Give/Gave Up So Much Over This Thing

i think of a reporter that breaks a huge story about some corruption in the government who won't reveal his source of information.

the government uses anti-terrorist laws against that reporter to try to force him to speak.

the laws are designed to protect the people and are used in a warped way to protect the government and allow it to hide it's corruption.

this internet... it gives many the chance to not be so shy as they may be in the outside world..

yet

we should i believe, make it a point to be, foremost, ourselves in this place..

i believe we have the opportunity to be heartfelt honest here on the internet.

and also,

we should treat others as if we were in the same room as them. we really dont know who we are speaking to.

we may be speaking to someone who has experienced horrors and has come to tell the tale or even express their expirienced feelings about a subject, or even the same person who gives a reserved rebuttal concerning things.

this should be a place where we learn to respect one an other whatever the avatar or wht not.

i know i havent.. yet after learning more about those i have associated with online. not everyone is a spotty faced eegit with a bad disposition.

some of us have lived a life true to the things we type in these menial mediums

its horrible, the lack of definable truth, but its our reality.

yet we have to appreciate this, and its stupid of us to try to inflict any of our truths on any of us.

and now.. when i see this i think its just juvenile.

but we.. as a people HAVE to appreciate this.
