Mark here from Cornwall. Was going to hitch hike up today, Saturday, from Cornwall. Last night though, had the first full private screening for a film that I and many others have been working on, to do with domestic violence issues, got completely rat arsed and couldn't really be bothered to hitch with my head in that state what with the heat and everything.

I might have a lift tomorrow morning, just a few hours from now, to W S Mare, but if that doesn't work out, I'm going to pass up the opportunity of meeting you all, too chilled out this weekend to be gallavanting around the country hitching lifts.

Have a good un, sorry Joy, another time maybe.

Pedophiles turn into murders?

this morning i was watching nbc and they where talking about how child murders evolve.the expert said that they usually start out with porno.then the fantasy escalates to the need to acutally control and dominate a child.but wait the thrill dosent stop there.after awhile the "monster" needs the ultimate control...murder!!.

so what do you think...should we try to rehabilitate these monsters.

I am again left wondering on the validity of your statement, i.e. the impossibility of the situation.

How do you know this? Do you honestly think that by just 'killing off' these people, that this action is going to get to the root cause of the problem and forever root it out? Hardly. If there is to be research upon this subject of which I have vast experience in a professional capacity, then surely it makes sense to find the root cause of the problem in order to effect any kind of meaningful solution.

It's not as simple as you state, you certainly would not cure it with your reccommended action by any means. Such writings only serve to stir up actions of vigilantism which is in no-ones overall interest.

It's a very indepth subject with no easy answers, solutions.

A massive sweeping wide generalisation you have just made. Perhaps you might like to back the theory up with a well researched paper on the subject?

The psychology involved in such a process would be very very indepth, I'm not at all sure how a tiny post here on the subject would be enough to quantify your claim as simply as you state it.

Provide proof please rather than random supposition.

How many here work for yourselves?

some of you may have read some of my earlier posts about my job issues, well i followed the advice that some of you contributed and i'm on my way to starting my own business.

i have a fairly good strategy that i will attempt to follow but i'm back again for more advice.. my first goal is to obtain a business license and establish a business name.

tomorrow i'm going to spend a few hours at the library and try to read up a bit on the different ways to proceed with a small business.

Buy yourself a book on entrepreneurship, I've one at home which is an exceptionally good read, corny title, but very down to earth advice plus plenty of info on strategy implementation, when I get back from work, I'll give you the title.

It'll be an excellent investment for you at under $10.00

I'm working on putting an arts social community enterprise together at present so I know how difficult the process can be in setting up your own company. Obviously, USA business law requirements are going to be much different to UK business rules, so perhaps on this side of things, I'll allow the Stateside counterparts to proffer you better advice than I could offer.

Definitely buy yourself the book though, save you many mild headaches and will answer many of your questions in a very precise manner.

How do the locals speak near you?

in britian every city has its own accent and local words that people use.. if you worked a council estate in cardiff you were joe-va's witnesses.. a reply on the ministry could be "you joe-vah's witnesses is it?.

i remmember working in shefield and people would call each other "ducky".

ooooo rrrrrrrrr I got down off me trackter todayyy I did, put my foot down off step, and trod right in pile of cow dung, came clean up past my welly boot it did, ooooo rrrrrrr, soggy smelly foot now see.

Do not ever underestimate the power of Cornish speak. The locals here sound as thick as five short planks, however, beware, the average Cornishman talks with an exceeding amount of exceptionally dry sarcasm and wit, not intended to be rude, just that they don't use so many words to say what is on their mind, you kinda get used to it. The thought left in your mind usually is, is this guy taking the piss or what?!! Or is he being as 'nice' as he makes out.

Talking to a real wide boy Cornish lad last night who was drunk. Telling me about all the stories that take place on the construction site of the Natuional Maritime Museum. Gawd some of the tales he was coming out with, would make you shreik with laughter, obviously with as Cornish a voice as you might find every other word puntuated with plenty of F words. Ruddy hilarious it twas.

J-dubs here is the expression they labelled us with.

You think the English can be sarcastic, the Cornish definitely take it to new heights. Listen to the Cornish comedian 'Jethro', you'll see what I mean with his mate Denzil Penberthy.

i, ruddy nora, can i type this without getting struck down by lightning, well, what i mean to say is, i have wondered sometimes, as you do, whether god knows in the back of his own mind, the fact that it feels, from a human perspective, as if some big mistake is going on.

like i'm in god's petrie dish, and all this is only a part of something else much bigger beyond present human comprehension of the concept at play in his mind.. anyone?.

Can owning/reading apostate material get me DF'ed?

hello, first time poster, long time reader.. i was wondering just what my title asks.

if i own/read/admit to apostate material, can that get me df'ed?.

i know better then to admit that i believe the apostate material to the elders, or that i disagree with the society's teachings, but will simply admitting to owning and reading them get me df'ed?.

Reading and/or owning 'apostate', (WT Label), litureture? Get you disfellowshipped? Quite possibly. However, the term you use, what it represents, for real.

I don't like the word disfellowshipped. It signifies to me an ending, a finale, a soul destroying word. It spells out, exclusion. This is not good. Possibly look at the option of finding out the truth about 'the trooth' and you might see, being on the side of another fence, to be quite a liberating experience.

You might just set yourself free.

A caged bird able to fly, making your own imformed choices for the first time, instead of the off pat, WT logic that denies everyone the freedom of mind, to draw their own conclusions and new life paths, whatever they may be??? .... It's your space, you, your'e personal identity that really matters here.

All I can say is, please keep your options open and I wish you well on your journeying's in life.
