While a-political I used to be a McCain fan. I thought that he seemed to have some integrity. It's a shame to see it watered down but that is how politics works I guess. -

So true.
However, as the grandson of one of Doolittle's Tokyo Raiders, I am pretty unimpressed with McCain.
My grandfather didn't expect to make it back and I don't hold those that were unexpectedly shot down to the same standard.
He (my grandfather) was truly part of the Greatest Generation and the rest of us are not cut from the same cloth.
My dad was a Merchant Marine through WWII and was on several vessels that were torpedoed. Let's not forget the contributions of the U.S. Merchant Marine.
McCain has forgotten his roots and he has milked his POW status long enough.

As a licensed Merchant Marine Officer I can tell you that I agree with Trump 100%.
McCain is the Senator of a landlocked state who spends a large portion of his time trying to eliminate the Jones Act on behalf of big, foreign, business under the guise of helping out Hawaii and Alaska.
Hawaii and Alaska have their own representatives, they don't need him butting his nose into their affairs and his professed concern for the citizens of those states is disingenuous.
He's a shill for foreign shipping, to the detriment of the U.S. Merchant Marine and U.S. jobs.

Actually, I'm not sure I'd want girls/women on a judicial committee.
Women are awesome and I consider them Jehovah's greatest aesthetic achievement.
However, when was the last time any of us remember being "let off" by a female cop/patrolman?
I think women make good "hanging judges", due to the cultural pressure to overcompensate and prove that they can be as "tough" as a man. The fact is, men view the authority to grant clemency as an exercise of their power. I hate to pigeon-hole women but, they need to learn these lessons if they're going to wield power in a comparable fashion.

How Many Circuit Overseers And District Overseers Really Believe The Governing Body Is Really The Faithful and Discreet Slave and That The Watchtower Is God's Earthly Organization?
by frankiespeakin ini'm thinking around 20% have serious doubts and 99% have some doubts but keep them from becoming conscious to avoid cognitive dissonance.
this is becoming increasingly harder to do over the fact that the governing body are showing their true colors and the contridictions are so great..

This is interesting and, from an organizational standpoint and speaking as someone who works within a corporate hierarchy, it begs the question of whether or not the current move to downsize (nay, eliminate?) various traveling overseer positions is a planned response to a clear and present threat to GB authority?
"War is too important to leave in the hands of the Generals", ergo, they remove the Generals and interface directly (if by proxy) with the Great Un-Washed Masses.
Speaking as someone that was "raised-in-the-truth" (and I have always hated that expression), and associated on-and-off for fifty-five (55) years, I have seen a lot of changes and modifications. Basically, the current iteration is comparitively unrecognizable when placed beside the organization I grew up with. Dissention at the upper levels can, conceiveably, metasticize into a full-blown schism.
I daresay the one Genie the WTS wishes it could stuff back into the bottle is the Internet. Too much information, too readily available to the novitiates.

A conversation with my JW mother ...
by Bella15 inso, due to recent deaths in the family i have been talking with my mom lately.
i try to say something here and there to make her go hmmmm ... so she made a comment about the millions now living will never die ...i said " wasn't that said about the 1914 generation, and we know how that went", meaning will not come true.
she thinks for a moment and said...yeah there's something new writtten somewhere in one of the magazines, but she went hmmm for a split of a second there ..lol.

Hadn't spoken to my mom for a couple of months and when I called her I mentioned my surprise at the GB declaring itself the FDS.
She went right into; "the FDS gives us our spiritual food at the proper time, yadda yadda".
Now I know where the Stepford Wives actually came from.

I don't recall the Eunich's baptism being delayed by the answering of a plethora of baptismal questions, nor do I recall Phillip mentioning an "Organization" and recitation of an oath.
