Abolitionist Harriet Tubman will replace President Andrew Jackson on the US$20 bill
by oppostate in"it’s official: secretary of the treasury jack lew has announced that abolitionist harriet tubman will replace president andrew jackson on the $20 bill.
and, while jackson will still reportedly remain on the reverse side of the bill, the move is nonetheless a momentous one.. .
"naturally there are many people who will complain about this decision, but since tubman’s legacy leading slaves to freedom through the underground railroad is beyond reproach, these critics will most likely turn to defending jackson.

If we want to put up someone of significance then I would vote for Elijah McCoy. He was the shyte and as an engineer, I would defer. -

At work we're referring the the Harriet Tubman 20's as "Ugly Twenties".
If we're going to go politically correct I would select Vanessa Williams to be on the Twenty.

Rivalry among the sisters
by Esmeralda001 inwhen i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.
i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).
i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

Back in the early 80's I purchased a new Porsche and the very first meeting I drove it to, I had both brothers and sisters making comments regarding "new cars" and materialism. They made these comments as an embellishment to a Watchtower Study that was unrelated to materialism.
Interestingly, they "looked down" on you if they perceived you were doing too well but they also "looked down" upon our poorer brethren.
Difficult to fall into an income bracket that made them feel comfortable. What I surmised was that they didn't want to associate with you if you were poor but they wanted to be, at least, a little bit ahead of you to feel comfortable.
Many years later, my daughter commented on how the "established" sisters appeared to be in the midst of a competitive "purse war".
If I ever decide to return, I'll need to reinstall the tea-trays on both of my 911s (for effect).

While a-political I used to be a McCain fan. I thought that he seemed to have some integrity. It's a shame to see it watered down but that is how politics works I guess. -

So true.
However, as the grandson of one of Doolittle's Tokyo Raiders, I am pretty unimpressed with McCain.
My grandfather didn't expect to make it back and I don't hold those that were unexpectedly shot down to the same standard.
He (my grandfather) was truly part of the Greatest Generation and the rest of us are not cut from the same cloth.
My dad was a Merchant Marine through WWII and was on several vessels that were torpedoed. Let's not forget the contributions of the U.S. Merchant Marine.
McCain has forgotten his roots and he has milked his POW status long enough.

As a licensed Merchant Marine Officer I can tell you that I agree with Trump 100%.
McCain is the Senator of a landlocked state who spends a large portion of his time trying to eliminate the Jones Act on behalf of big, foreign, business under the guise of helping out Hawaii and Alaska.
Hawaii and Alaska have their own representatives, they don't need him butting his nose into their affairs and his professed concern for the citizens of those states is disingenuous.
He's a shill for foreign shipping, to the detriment of the U.S. Merchant Marine and U.S. jobs.

Actually, I'm not sure I'd want girls/women on a judicial committee.
Women are awesome and I consider them Jehovah's greatest aesthetic achievement.
However, when was the last time any of us remember being "let off" by a female cop/patrolman?
I think women make good "hanging judges", due to the cultural pressure to overcompensate and prove that they can be as "tough" as a man. The fact is, men view the authority to grant clemency as an exercise of their power. I hate to pigeon-hole women but, they need to learn these lessons if they're going to wield power in a comparable fashion.
