Why do Ex-JWs start celebrating pagan Christmas?

im not trying to be self-righteous but i want to understand the thought process of someone who knows the origins of christmas, but starts celebrating it (putting up christmas tree, exchanging wrapped gifts; repeating merry christmas to everyone they see in the month of december)??
it seems very silly to me (imo) after knowing how and why christmas was created (to cater to pagans sun worship and convert to christianity)!!

Logistical problems of the new system...
by highdose injust supposing that you belive in it... i used to always wonder, how on earth are we going to get from one country to the other?
i mean old type ships used to take months to get around!
what about land travel?

It comes from South America? how with the head quarters keep tabs on the rest of the world? if theres no mail and email and telephone? How would we keep warm in the winter? Feed ourselves in the winter if we live in a cold climate? What would happen if you accidently fell off a cliff, say? Would the angels save you?
no one ever had good enough answers for these questions except to say..."jehovah/ Gb will provide!"

this is somthing i always fantasised about doing. My old hall has a 7ft conifer in the front of it... just perfect for a christmas tree!
As i've posted before i would superglue all the decorations to it, otherwise the first JW to arrive at the scene would tear off all the decorations in 5 mins. Even better actualy what about protecting the tree with electric cattle wire?... of course it would need to have its own power source, maybe a car battery?
... as i said... i've really thought this one through...!!!

its a shame though, because although small the impact that this cult has on people is very big and very destructive. Shame theres not a reporter on this board who could find some "sexy" and "exciting" angle that would get it into the press...

i have seen many women in this situation, they never find a JW hubby, they find themselves socail outcasts and are left out of every socail gathering. ages 40-50 they tend to live in hope that this will change... 50+ they realise it won't and either surcome to one of the jw illnesses ( M.E, Depression etc etc) or they leave the JW's and try to rebuild their lives
