well you see i was thinking about all those jw's who pride themselves on being able to spot a spirtual jw by their answers or how well thumbed their bible is, and in fact its sooo easy to pretend, who are they kidding?

Of course none of us would want to, even though in a way it might be a little fun!? Think of the things you could incocently drop into the convo " my CO last week was telling us some interesting facts about 607....!" etc

As a JW Did you Feel " Guilted " to go to Meetings /Service if Injured /Sick ?

many people in the jehovah's witnesses , older ones, younger ones have been expected to pioneer, go in field service with physical disabilities and are even considered "martyrs" if they push themselves to their physical capacities beyond reasonableness .

thus many witnesses feel sick, exhausted, tired, and essentially fight depression due to high expectations to " burn out " for the wt society.

have any of you experienced this while in the witnesses ?.

on the flip side theres too many times i went to the hall and had some deovout JW coughing and spluttering all over me, i think all in health i ever had came from that place! As a health care proffestional it used to really anoy me, the balent disregard for infection control!

It was comman place in my hall for people to come up to you, shake hands, kiss, hug and talk for 5 mins before saying " i've got this terrible cough/ sore throat, cold, bug" i felt like screaming at them " why are you talking to me then!!!! havn't you ever heard of droplet infection???!!"

this is not a study article but i thought it was interesting that the wt felt the need to write an article about whether it was worth learning either hebrew or greek to study the bible.. here are some select quotes from this article.... .

over the last 3 years i've gotten much faster at making a wt article look "studied".. .

how fast can you get one ready for inspection by snoopy elders and microphone handlers?.

i can remember being in the freezing snow and so cold my fingers were numb, i desparatly wanted someone to invite me in, just to warm up even, but no one did.. i got soaked on countless occasions having been dropped off in some remote corner of the territory, trying to find shelter in a thunderstorm.. i got burnt to a crisp in just half an hour in a uk heatwave, of course no one was at home... they were all far more sensible and had gone to the beach!.
