The end is nigh!
by highdose inafter a year of having been out and 7 months on jwn, i like to think that i'm pretty well deprogrammed.. one thing i still have trouble with though is the mental attitude of thinking that the end is coming soon.
difficult to explain this, but its like a mental awareness that is always there no matter what.. and of course the end is not coming, i just don't know how to get my brain to realise this?!?

if i have understood correctly, in the wts, a single woman is at a disadvantage.
the wts is male-dominated and a woman can only go up through her father or husband.

why she would chose that? i can't speak for that woman, but i do know of sisters who were in that kind of postion and knew that they were never going to be able to get married again. So rather than humiliate themselves by throwing themselves endless at the feet of single brothers (who would just ignore them and marry the young 18 year old sister instead) they would boldly declare that they didn't want to get married again,
It wasn't about not wanting marriage, its about saving face.

Do you live in the real world?
by highdose ini just read an article about increasing numbers of people who spend their time online rather than off line.
their freinds are online and not physicaly there as well.. then i started thinking about the dubs, who live in a fanstay of paradise coming soon etc etc.

i get a chuckle when i watch that show on tuesday nights as it portrays what would happen the the world, if people should all dissapear.
since jw's are only 2/10% of the world's population and almost zero% in many countries the infrastructure would rapidly decay.

rub a dub: in order to have windows to clean you have to have glass in them. In order to have glass in the windows you have to have factorys to make the glass. In order to have factorys that make glass you have to have staff who know how to make glass......
...in order to get the glass from the factory to the window it has to be transported, somehow i think a horse and cart isn't a great way of doing that?!!
