nearly every living thing is drowned to death because of the badness and general mischief going on during noah's day.
why aren't the angels who materialized bodies and fathered a race of giant, violent freaks destroyed as well?.
i know that they, presumably, left their bodies just in time to escaped the flood, but that shouldn't be enough to escape the wrath of almighty god.. it's interesting that the genesis account says very little about them.

I'm not a WTS sop & there are many things 'God' has done or now does or doesn't do that I feel at odds with but to read excuses made for Satan on this discussion board has pulled me up with a jolt.

god i hope so!.....cause i partied my ass off all weekend at one, hooked up with my old gf who omg is still smokin hot!!!
(i was in way over my head back then and still am prob) but we made a damm fine lookin couple (i was told by many) as many of you facebook friends of mine now already know....ok maybe changing my avatar to a pic with me and her all yummy was a bit much....but i really dont give a damm anymore...as you can tell by me also switching my status from married to complicated!!!.
well...its been complicated for four years, and that should have been my status all along....i have so wanted to avoid the pain of hurting a very nice jw woman/person/wife..........but also losing my parents and son, and any of the few friends that may still speak with me on occasion....but i have known i can not keep living like i have the past four years...i just cant do it.
I've been to two school reunions, one 25years & one 40years from graduating.
There was no obscene language, no drunkeness & no wild dancing & were both very enjoyable occasions.
The first time I went I was concerned someone would tackle me about 1975 as I had tried hard to put into practice the society's admonition to witness to my school friends in the years leading up to that date. Thankfully no one brought the subject up.
I would recommend going as the WT leaders are WRONG to suggest you should not go.

most already know that watchtower corp atty phil brumley uses a patterson, ny address as his residence.
using google maps, 131 brimstone road, patterson ny is starting to shape up into a veritable mansion.
maybe they are planning another rutherford (also an atty) style beth sharim but this time close to wallkill?.
Just google earthed it & to me it looks pretty mansion like & secluded.

obviously a book written for kids by old dumb morons at bethel the book starts with abels murder {with pictures for the kids} people begging to get into the ark before drowning to death...a good lesson for kiddies!
a women putting a tent peg thru someones temple {with pictures} moses killing an egyptian.
etc a horrified atheist lady returned the books my mother gave as "gifts" {count 2 placements} after seeing the horrific topics, she decided it was "not apropriate for her kids.".
As soon as the book was released I felt the pictures were too violent for young children.........but then thats just me being overly critical & not appreciating ALL the effort of the FDS providing FATPT.

i realize as an elder that i am speaking out against the very organization i try to faithfully represent, but i personally think that the governing body is wrong by teaching that only what they teach us, as printed in the watchtower publications, should be considered to be the truth.
theyve made the expression of any personal opinions or group debates over their official versions of biblical truths subject to disciplinary action often leading to someone being disfellowshipped.. .
that is why i feel that i must keep my own identity somewhat anonymous.
Yes my feelings as well Wasanelder..........It started out plausibly then I felt I'd read this stuff before, an 'apostate primer' is what it is!

Every JW kid when asked what they wanted to do when they grew up would be expected to say 'GOOOOO TOOOOOO BETHELLLLLLL'
I went to a lunchtime meeting at one assembly for anyone interested in going to Bethel & when I asked how many hours a week we would be expected to work just so I had an idea what I'd be letting myself in for, the main American man (or was he Canadian) turned on me in front of everyone & said 'If that is of concern to you then you will not be good Bethel material' !!!

witness yearbooks are full of experiences where jehovah saved a poor witness who prayed for help...and the soldiers walked passed and did not see them etc, etc.
however, other brothers prayed and still got executed by gillotine so...why does gods will allow such things?
isn't this just random chance put down as god's will?
I too used to crap my pants worrying about 'persecution' as a kid after reading about what happened in Malawi & Germany...........I knew I would 'let Jehovah down'.
I also couldn't come to terms with how Jehovah would be there assessing the pain being inflicted on my body deciding whether or not I could take having the rest of my nails ripped off before he stepped in.
It seemed Jehovah was part of the persecution.
