As long as you just want to have fun with them, I would do the 1919 issue. List all the ridiculous crap they were teaching at that time and ask if Jesus approved it, and if so, does that mean they've lost his approval now?

every cult has terminologies that are unique to itself, and often the intent is to polarize the membership into a black and white language style.
the cliches of cultish groups tend to stop thought, or restrict into a a single accepted viewpoint.. this is almost never recognized by the members while they are trapped inside - but is clearly evident the effects this had upon us once we exit the religion.

Words are thoughts. The common definitions of words are the primary means by which we transfer thoughts concepts and ideas to other people. When our understanding of the definition of words is limited or altered, our thoughts are as well and we lose a connection to other humans. What better technique for mind control and isolation?

Atomahawk, in addition to what Jeff said, the GB may be small-potatoes on a global scale, but they rule over seven million people. That's like being the government of a small country. (Compare here). If only one million of those people donated ten dollars every month, how much money would you have at the end of the year? Add in investments and real estate deals and they have a cushy set-up. They know how to stroke the hand that feeds them while keeping it chained to them.

TD, since you brought this up on Tuesday's thread, I wanted to add my understanding. For as long as I was in the JWs (the last twenty years) I was taught that there is currently no Great Crowd. Dubs on earth today who aren't anointed are Other Sheep. The Great Crowd does not exist until after armageddon. Using this reasoning, there is no need for the end to come within in anyone's particular lifetime.
That may contradict what's in print, but that's what the R&F are being told.

by whathehadas insince i'm still suffering in this crackerjacks organization, these are some of statements that just drive me nuts.
1. in service: "we are not here to convert you" funny how jws have the true religion but resort to deception and outright lies in order to get people to listen
2. to other jws: "we won't have to deal with this in the new system" 7 billion evil doers dead and gone, no longer create problems for us

JW's, eBay, Stupidity and dishonesty

it was not an original, in fact i don't believe "hymns of millennial dawn" was ever published by the societyt in spanish.
anyways, the auction title said "hymn of millennial dawn -spanish ed.
