LaidOff Bethelites: Weeping And Gnashing of Teeth
by metatron indon't let any of the watchtower's propaganda deceive you.
i encountered some private conversations among witnesses about the subject and it's ugly.
yes, there is suffering as many of these victims try to live on charity and can't find jobs in the worst economy since the depression.. some of their private observations include shock that you need a college degree for nearly any job and that the watchtower society couldn't have picked a worse time to do this to them .. all the while these complaints are discussed, i try not to show that i am astounded by their bizarre "logic".

Moshe, thanks for sharing your story. I'm always interested to see what different religions ex-JW convert to.

The JWs have their own Trinity, and more
by Doug Mason inthe jws explanation of the human being jesus christ is an unreasonable, irrational trinity.. first he is a god with a divine nature.
but he is also an angel, so presumably has the nature of that level of created being.. then he is deprived of these natures and he only possesses the attributes of the human nature, albeit the nature possessed by the very first one, (homo erectus or neanderthal?
) adam and his wife eve.

Its not the people on here or wherever
by angel eyes ini was talking to a baptised friend, and they dont like the idea of me being on here..i told them that ive mentioned it to an elder and that a few know im here, afterall im heeding the warning .
anyway, i explained to them that we are drawn out by our own desire, its whatever is in our heart....... hmmm did that come across ok???
so what im saying is yes negative thoughts or comments whatever we are warned against can harm us but its up to us what we listen to and if our heart is right we shall remain in gods love.

OTWO, you nailed it. We lost a couple of apologists at the same time we gained angel eyes and she has been a refreshing change in some ways. In particular she is very often sympathetic to posters who have had bad experiences in the religion and I appreciate that about her. At the same time, she does that condescending "I'm better than everyone because bad experiences wouldn't cause ME to leave JAH!" shtick. Please take note, angel eyes. And if sticking with the WTS is the best thing to do, please ANSWER THE QUESTION of why we should believe that?

Interesting Conversation
by lepermessiah ini had a conversation with a friend who has been inactive for over many years.
he has really been there for me since i need an outlet to talk about my situation.. i finally found out one of the reasons he went inactive - he said he had read an article in one of the wt's, and then a few weeks later, he read an article that seemed to contradict the previous article.
when he questioned this to an elder, the guy basically chastised him for questioning it and would not contact brooklyn for clarification.

I'd love to know which articles tipped him off.

Is it wrong of me not to trust in faith? Is there something wrong with me for not taking what I know and just plain ole believing it? Am I just not trusting in God enough?
If you're able to ask those questions, then you already know the answers to them. Good for you.
Hebrews 11:1 (HCSB): "Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen." Faith is a middle ground between certain knowledge and unfounded hope. If you have complete evidence, there is no need for faith because you already know. If you have no evidence (or scant evidence that could have alternate implications) you can't have faith because it must be based on something real.

Want to have some Fun and educate the public?
by outofservice inwell i find it fun and hopefully some people might open there eyes.
well if you go to google and type in jehovah's witnesses it should bring up the halls in your area with a little map next to them, the fun part is you can leave a review on the kingdom hall.
so you can post your feelings, your experiences some helpful web sites etc.... i don't know how long they will stay on, but give it a shot for therapy and maybe help someone.

I like the way you think. I would just write a short blurb directing people to jwfacts.com.
