Why does God need your worship?
by cyberjesus inso this is a serious question.
we are really nothing compared with the whole universe.
our physical bodies are really just made of simple components that are found everywhere on earth.

CyberJesus,
I believe that Jesus existed and that he was who he claimed to be. Therefore I believe that he was the image of God in that as God's Son he reflected his Father's love and true nature. Much is made about the wars and punishments in the OT but God's loving acts and words in the OT are mostly overlooked. They are there. Creation makes sense to me. To believe that something, matter, came from nothing is not scientific is it? Or do you believe it possible that something can come from nothing?

AwSnap,
You were outed, perhaps you should reconsider this whole thing. Just a thought. Sometimes what goes around comes around.

My Very First Thread Criticizing the WTS....................
by Judge Dread ina couple of posts by hamsterbait motivated me to post this.. the elimination of the book study: it was the only place where those who were shy, or anxious, about commenting would comment.
it was small, intimate and we had a lot of fun.
remember the "f" word?

The greatest enemy to the friends in Kingdom Halls throughout the world is not Satan or governments or the world, or the flesh, but their own Governing Body. They are being killed from within something much more devastating than anything else because it comes from an unexpected place! Twisted love is evil.

What do you think the WT's ultimate irony is?
by sabastious inoff the top of my head it would be the fact that they say that satan's world will brainwash you when you leave the wt.. -sab.

I think the Watchtower's ultimate irony is that they have become the very thing they preached against: the Pharisees of Jesus' day whose rules and regulations smothered the love for God and brother.

A question for those who still believe.
by still wondering inthe first step to putting right the sin of adam was for christ to come to the earth to sacrifice his life, preach the gospel of the kingdom and the command to his disciples to preach and attempt to convert the world.. the second step will be or has been christs second coming.. as it is a priority to put right the wrongs of adam and to convert the world of mankind then the sooner the first step is implemented the greater the chance of achieving the desired result as the human population was still relatively small the further back in time so why did god take .
four thousand human years.
to implement just the first step?

I believe God sets in motion a process that at its completion will be what He intended from the beginning. Creation was a process. Abraham's entering the future Promised Land was a beginning of a process that would culminate in Israel. Israel a process culminating in the Christ. Christianity existing almost as long as the time from Abraham to the Christ is also a process that will lead to mankind's salvation at the revelation of God's Son. And sadly, will also, imo, reveal that Christianity was and is no better than the Jewish nation in that all people eventually go the wrong way and need correction.

Forget disfellowshipping, reinstatement is grossly unbiblical
by sabastious indisfellowshipping has a "measure" of validity since in the 1st century you could be removed from the christian congregation for practicing sin.
(but not shunned outside of worship ceremonies).. the process in which someone is accepted back into the fold in the jw policy is completely made up.
it's funny that witnesses will poke fun at catholics for making up purgatory when they have completely pulled the reinstatement process out of their asses!.

The Watchtower is a pharisaical religion that just loves to add more and more laws. Trusting in God and his Son is nice but LAW and LAWYERS and BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS is even nicer! The Governing Body suffers from a lack of faith in God!
