  In the previous posting I watched the watchtower images about worldly people etc. How awful are these. Since childhood I am grown up with this kind of indoctrination. Watch the little children naked on the flood image waiting for their dead. Now I have my own children, I'm totally shocked! There are much more of these pictures in recent magazines. Although I'm a conscious class witness (tm) I'm sitting totally shocked on my chair. What a crazy believe with horrible indoctrination.

  in a recent the new york times article, one of the editors of the watchtower mentioned that the magazine has worldwide the biggest printing run / circulation.

  In a recent The New York Times article, one of the editors of The Watchtower mentioned that the magazine has worldwide the biggest printing run / circulation. Record breaking. My question is: are the Watchtower publications FSC certified? Does the Watchtower Society use responsible paper? I mean, if you publish the worldwide most circulated magazine, you own the world a responsible use of resources.

  Friends,

  I've got many relatives in Africa. JW's in Africa die caused by hunger and sickness. The society is doing nothing for these JW's.

  No medicine, no food, no help anyway, only sending CO's time by time for the organizational things. The Holy Spirit gives these JW no manna, the keys of the prison to be released, miracles to recover from sickness.

  It's all unforeseen occurrences.

  The JW mythes told in congregations and conventions are absolute BS. Why does Jehovah protect brother A and let sister B die. Because there is a greater plan for brother A?

  This part of believe is so hypocritical. I lost my fait because one of my relatives has died under those circumstances that if someone from heaven could help, they simple had to be there at that moment.

  I don't believe someone in heaven can help people on earth. If they could, they are very very cruel to let this things go on.

  I'm in my mind with the family of the JW woman mentioned above, I hope they will find some peace, at their own way.

  Convention Badges Location

  why does the wt ask jw's to wear their badges on their chest?

  in the case of brothers it is not a problem but is it not embarassing for the sisters?

  also if an attendant for some reason has to check out a sisters badge, it might appear that he is staring at.... escpecially considering that this is a religion regarded by many as quite prudish.. .

  Here in the Netherlands (for US readers: a small country in Western Europe west of Germany and north of Belgium), most JW's don't wear Convention Badges anymore. We don't like those Watchtower-tools. We don't donate money also. That's why we are punished by the Society. No coffee, bad seats and no video screens anymore to see the speaker... It doesn't matter, there is always a McDonalds for coffee to find, and we don't have to see the speaker, to hear him is bad enough. Most of us also attend the convention only at saturday and sunday, because our job on friday is a good excuse to stay away.

  New DVD about WTS history: no generation too

  i watched the new dvd earlier this week and the speaker at the convention did his presentation about the new understanding of the generation bla bla bla and the overlap of the generation bla bla bla and then presented the new dvd.

  but also on the new dvd the overlap and even "the generation" is not mentioned at all.. the dvd is missing very much information and gives disinformation.

  my family asked in a choir "was russell not married" when we watched the dvd.. i told them that he was divorced (...).

  2010 Drama - No Generation

  after sitting thru the drama this year i was struck with a thought.. there was a scene where a "brother" said they knew the end would come, but did not think it would be in their lifetime.

  at no point did someone say "but jesus said this generation would see the end" why?

  because "this generation" now means 2 generations that overlap - as explained to us in the last talk of the day.

  It is a silly drama. I wondered about the historical mistakes in it. They are speaking about "The elders" and presented the historical times as was it today.

  I would not be surprised when one of the guys in the drama would take an Ipad to read the pdf version of the scriptures. "The apostles send me an email today that we have to run to the mountains".

  Last weekend I attended the DC. I had special interest in the closing speech about "This generation".

  The Bethel speaker told us he lost track after the publication of the Watchtower in 2008 about "This generation" and concluded that "This generation" can overlap only 1 time. He stated that there is an absolute time limitation of "This generation". Members of the current 144.000 who's lives overlapped the lives of members of the 144.000 who experienced 1914 will see the end of this system.

  Then he released the new DVD about the history of Jehovah's Witness in modern times. He stated that this DVD will replace the Proclaimers (history) book, because Jehovah's Witnesses are mostly not readers of thick books.

  Of course a big applause fellowed.

  is there any jehovah's witness who can answer these questions about 1914?.

  can you demonstrate, using the holy scriptures, that the messianic kingdom was established in 1914, that jesus got the full legal right to become king that year, and that jesus returned invisibly in 1914, and that the "last days" began that year?.

  1:) no encyclopedia, no history book, and no archaeology book that i have ever seen have ever said that nebuchadnezzar destroyed jerusalem and the temple in the year 607 bce.
