  Where does all the JW money go?

  i want to know.. does every kingdom hall, bethel and assembly hall belong to the watchtower, bible & tract society?.

  each of those kingdom halls, bethels etc are built with the money obtained by that country's contributions.

  if a loan is needed the bothers of that specific congregation pay off the loan.. the society has then an extremely huge amount of property worth billions of $$$$ who has control of all those funds?

  DO: what to do by doubts

  the do told us at the recent district assembly @ the netherlands, that if you have doubts about jw doctrine, you have to remain a strong connection with jehovah god, because "you are dedicated to jehovah and not to an organisation".. later on a very old brother was interviewed and he gave the counsel "keep your doubts about doctrine in a refrigiator, just wait and see".

  the do asked him "how many refrigiators do you have?

  the brother told him "i have 3 refrigiators full".

  The DO told us at the recent district assembly @ The Netherlands, that if you have doubts about JW doctrine, you have to remain a strong connection with Jehovah God, because "you are dedicated to Jehovah and NOT to an organisation".

  since when is the so called "new light" (about the fds) published on the news-section of the officially website jw.org instead of in the study edition of the watchtower?

  the wts use of internet has dramatically changed.

  strange effect of this new "marketing" policy is that the annual meeting news at jw.org only available is for english speaking people with a computer and an internet connection.

  Since when is the so called "New Light" (about the FDS) published on the News-section of the officially website jw.org instead of in the study edition of the Watchtower?

  The WTS use of internet has dramatically changed.

  Strange effect of this new "marketing" policy is that the annual meeting news at jw.org only available is for English speaking people with a computer and an internet connection. If you're a poor witness living in the dessert of Eritrea, the news will reach you some years later.

  But, conclusion of this topic, this is the first time that new light is officially published beyond the Watchtower publication.

  I have so many story's about our congregation. So there was one elder who was secretly spying other witness in christmas time. He looked into the window of their houses to see if there was a christmas tree!! He visited our home later (I was a child) and watch the back gate / port of the garden. "Splended" he told us loudley, "here can you escape when Armageddon starts!".

  Do you know of any U.S. JWs who have voted without getting DA'd?

  i recently registered to vote in california and will be going to the polls on election day to experience what many americans do as soon as they turn 18. i could mail in my ballot, but i want to check the whole scene in-person.. .

  i posted this info on another forum recently and have been told that i'm as good as da'd if i'm discovered.

  i'd like to pose this question here since jwn gets much more traffic.

  I voted this year for the second time in the Netherlands elections. I'm still JW, but not active in field service. I did it at an busy public place. I told nobody about it.

  Still I hoped that some JW noticed my voting, for starting the discussion about the WT published in the 90's about JW allowing to vote.

  What the Domestics part of the "new light" can / will create

  thinking a lot last days about the new light about the fds, today i got an idea about the following.. - both the 1) annointed and 2) the rank and file witness aka great crowd are now part of the domestics.. so, in practice, it doesn't matter you have a heavenly or and earthly hope for the future.. because, the domestics can have a heavenly or an earthly hope.. what i think is that this part of the new light sets open the gates for jehovahs witnesses with a heavenly hope.. and more in future: how longer the "new systems of things" will stay away, the watchtower can switch to a doctrine with only a heavenly hope, "living for ever in a paradise in heaven".. what do you think about this?!?.

  @james_woods interesting thoughts. What I think about the new light: it doesn't matter if a jw is annoined or a Great Crowd person. Everything is ok. They are from now one both rank-and-file witnesses! That's what Domestics mean in real small town JW kingdom-land: rank and file!

  as part of the wt's recent push to get the r&f "to study and recount the history of the earthly part of jehovahs organization" there is a curious article in the from our archives featurette of the august 15th, 2012 watchtower.

  it offers a highly sanitized version of early jw history.

  but what is particularly strange is this revisionist history re-categorizing of an early bible student/jw, one hugo riemer.

  About the picture of the pre-1971 GB: from Knorr to the right they just look like Himmler (Knorr), Hess (Franz) and Speer (Henschel).

  When you look at the picture you see that the power is at the right side and the no powers are at the left side...
