this time they were not located at the central square, but hiding just arround a corner.
i looked the jw's in the eye, a man and his wife, +/- 50 years old, and they looked very depressed, down and quilty.

How would it be, with the full child abuse exposure in the Dutch media, to take your chart and stand at one of the busiest places in the country, knowing that all the passengers are well informed about the jw.org policy and strategy.
This must be killing for the local rank and file, enormous pressure, and maybe they see it as a sign of the end of times.

Now that Jehovah's Witnesses have not been able to stop the report of the abuse report, they are taking further legal action. Attack on who they are

But where newspaper publications are easier to dismiss as lies, in the case of the investigation they have to deal with a minister who is panting on their necks to change something. The letter that the board sent to the minister also shows that they see the recommendations as an attack on who they are. For example, the researchers want women to be given a more prominent role - something that is not biblical according to Jehovah's Witnesses - and that elders are better educated. Peters: “They will never allow outside influence. They want to keep control over what they learn and how they teach their elders. ” That is precisely why this point of principle is for Jehovah's Witnesses, Peters thinks. "They will put their entire lawyers' clique on it, so that attention is diverted from what is actually wrong: namely that abused children are not being helped properly."

That statement by one of the (former) Jehovah's witnesses who are interviewed in the report marks the organization's difficult handling of sexual abuse. The report of employees of Utrecht University, who were commissioned by the House of Representatives to conduct research, outlines a parallel community that prefers to keep out the door. Leaders of the local community - elders or overseers - form judicial committees in cases of abuse. The elders are often particularly concerned about reputation damage. The respect is fully gone now and that's not the fault of the public.
The organization is living at another planet, there imago is blown away.
Strange thing about Dutch (Holland) people is that we learn and speak English very fast and efficient and we feel very related to the UK and the USA.
