How Many Here Remember Hearing Details from the Platform on Why a Person was Reproved or DF'd ???
by RubaDub ini just had this flashback when commenting on another thread about how they used to announce reproof or dfing from the platform.
at least in our congregation, it was a dramatic event (this is what i can remember from back in the mid-late 60's or early 70's when i was a kid).. at the end of the service meeting, just before singing the final song, the brother would announce, "we have a letter that must be read.
the "congregation servant" (my grandfather or later my father) would then slowly walk from the back of the kh to the platform.

I remember being a child and feeling the change in atmosphere in the congregation when the PO walked after the congregational watchtower study to the platform for a special message.
Holding my breath, because I was sensitive. I still can feel it, and hate it so much!
Most of the local df's in our town were in the 70's related to apostate thinking.
What a sect, it is emotional abuse. For a child to observate it, being sensitive.

My thoughts about Watchtower fully owned "independent" lawyer firm / Dutch case

in the current dutch jw.org law cases about child abuse and religion rights the jw.org is represented by shane brady, partner of w. glen how & associaties.

What I think, is that this law firm, fully owned by jw.org but presented to the outside world as independent law firm, is a money machine for Watchtower. It is very possible that the hours of the lawyers will be payed by the local witnesses cq. local Christian association of JW's.
The more and more I think about this vehicle, the more I smell a money machine.
When a court case is won by jw.org, the opposite party will be ordered to pay the lawyer costs. With this law firm jw.org can bring in a high cost level, because of the firm structure instead of a volunteer lawyer of jw.org
Let me know if i'm wrong with this.

2019 Annual Meeting: more F.O.G.
by neat blue dog inafter the new construction project is announced, anthony morris the turd gives a talk where he arrogantly tells the audience to 'get over it' and get to work.
he says relaxing is fine and 'im not trying to put a guilt trip on you' but you all need to get busy.
no graciousness at all for the endless volunteer labor they demand for whatever new projects they dream up.

This guy is part of CESNUR.
Watchtower has had close links to CESNUR since 1995, at the moments when they need them.
From inside thinking: This is the so called theocratic warfare. Use your enemy (Vampire) when you need them.
From secular thinking: this man is a so called expert on this subject and member of many of new religion expert groups.
A very strange cage, because in The Netherlands, Vampires are not well respected. I can see the face of the judge if he will notice this.

Chart today at station square @ Netherlands city
by Gorbatchov intoday i searched and found the jw chart at the station square just across the corner of my work hq, were i had an appointment.
this time they were not located at the central square, but hiding just arround a corner.
i looked the jw's in the eye, a man and his wife, +/- 50 years old, and they looked very depressed, down and quilty.

Today I searched and found the JW Chart at the station square just across the corner of my work HQ, were I had an appointment.
This time they were not located at the central square, but hiding just arround a corner. I looked the JW's in the eye, a man and his wife, +/- 50 years old, and they looked very depressed, down and quilty.
How would it be, with the full child abuse exposure in the Dutch media, to take your chart and stand at one of the busiest places in the country, knowing that all the passengers are well informed about the jw.org policy and strategy.
This must be killing for the local rank and file, enormous pressure, and maybe they see it as a sign of the end of times.

The Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept the results of scientific research under any circumstances. They go to court again. Is there an explanation for their response?

Now that Jehovah's Witnesses have not been able to stop the report of the abuse report, they are taking further legal action. Whether that is an appeal or a new indictment of defamation, defamation or discrimination, a spokesperson for the organization does not yet say. According to her, they look strategically on a case-by-case basis on what is best and how they can lose the least members.
Peters: “A lawsuit is a win-win situation for them. If they win, it is because of Jehovah's blessing, and if they lose, they can portray themselves as martyrs, as persecuted; in line with Bible apostles who were persecuted by the state for their beliefs and beliefs. Attack on who they are
This is reflected in the response to the report. But where newspaper publications are easier to dismiss as lies, in the case of the investigation they have to deal with a minister who is panting on their necks to change something. The letter that the board sent to the minister also shows that they see the recommendations as an attack on who they are. For example, the researchers want women to be given a more prominent role - something that is not biblical according to Jehovah's Witnesses - and that elders are better educated. Peters: “They will never allow outside influence. They want to keep control over what they learn and how they teach their elders. ” That is precisely why this point of principle is for Jehovah's Witnesses, Peters thinks. "They will put their entire lawyers' clique on it, so that attention is diverted from what is actually wrong: namely that abused children are not being helped properly."
