1. at the top of the social order of things within the congregation is of course, the presiding overseer and his family.
We (our family) gave ourself a status above the CBO / PO. We were 4th generation witnesses so
we decided we were the historical based elite in the congregation. On this historical grounds
my grandfather and father, both elders, protected the rank and file against
the organizational elders. Our family was against the organization and for the weak
and poor!
I faded a year after becoming nr. 8.

Hi Atlantis,
My respect for the Wachtower is growing more and more. They made a plan to soften the sharp religion.
It must be a great time for younger JW's, using multi media during the congregation (instead of br. Old and Angry on the stage),
using tablets and Ipads, and JW Broadcasting.
My definition of the change: Jehovah's Witness have become an output religion, "Look what we do!".
This can last forever, the gates just have openend.

I'm forseeing a JW.ORG Theme park in a few years, just like Disney world.
Great for the kids, family life and Watchtower revenue, including gadgets and dolls.
The American dream is still alive, come true by the Watchtower Society.

hello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.

the rank and file is now in a strange situation.. it is clear that the jw leadership is in for a huge change.
the type / anti type change makes clear that they make a u-turn.. it's clear that with this changes the current doctrine are temporary.
Showed my wife today TV.jw.org and She responded:
- This is what the people want! (Give them bread and games, said by the roman emperor)
- And this is what they do with our money!
