hi everyone i'm at work and need to show this video to a jw.

i saw it a few weeks ago i think it was geoffry jackson who said that jehovah may or may not be gods real name but we use it anyways.

can someone help me find that video?

Unbelievable that JW's are eating this shit.

They admit it's not the most accurate version of the name of God, but

they proclaim with proud that JW's are the only one using gods name.

They even name their believe "Jehovahs Witnesses".

my brother attended a college for those who " f..led" up at school and got a second chance to do the exams.

anyway george michael and andy ridgley, were two of those fu..k ups, and my brother was quite friendly with both.

as a result i met george and andy before they found fame with wham.. geri hallaway ( spice girl) also came from watford when she grew up and was a friend of my sister ( her mum a j.w) and i once spoke with geri on the phone when she rang asking to speak with my sister.

Midweek meeting

almost two months into the change in format of the mid week meeting from the school and service meeting format to the christian life and ministry (clam) format.

in my congregation, seems attendance is down 10-15% over the normally low attendance for the mid week meeting before the change.

some indicate that the meeting under the clam format is very "intense"...you really need to study and research to be able to participate or get anything out of the meetings.

The JW I meet at the groceries are tired. I make contact with them, and ask them "How are you?"

They look down. They are always happy that I speak with them. But, the Kingdom smile is gone!

1974 Special Meetings

as we all know, armageddon was just around the corner in 1974. at the district conventions that year, it was announced that there would be two special meetings during the month of september; one would be for interested people (e.g., bible studies, family members, inactive, etc.

), and the other would be for baptized publishers.

these were to be held in place of the service meetings for the two weeks, iirc.

I remember preaching with my dad (I respect him very much) and his favorite was explaining 1914 to the housholder. With the 2520 years construction and the then current sign of the times. and the then current generation teaching. What a mess it is, looking back. We were fooled and tricked.
