Was there really a specific request for money in this week's meeting?

i have seen a few comments about this week's meeting.. was there actually a part that specified an actual per-publisher amount that should be donated regularly?.

can this be confirmed please?.

i truly cant believe just how brazen the society seems to be getting - and how desperate they are!.

you all pretty much know my story so i won't repeat it but.... to say i'm being hounded by my local congregation is an understatement.

today the cobe finally found us in.

well, i refused to answer the door but my husband did.

The Bethel reprentative said at our convention that the organization is the most transparant and open organization about child abuse 🤔

And then said "reporters praise our organization for how we protect our children, and call it unique".

I exploded on my chair and said loud to my wife "they are crooks".

Be loyal when a relative is disfellowshipped

well.....they showed that shunning video again.

you know...the one where goldilocks gets disfellowshipped- and the parents look across the hall at her with disdain.....yeah that video.. i was interested to see what kind of answers would be given during the discussion after the video and some of the reactions.

everyone sat there gormlessly staring at the video.

2018 Annual Meeting

does anybody have any word on the 2018 annual meeting?

i assume something new will be rolled out, since they are having all the congregations do special weekend streaming.. my guess is that there will be some major "new light" concerning the memorial, partaking, anointed, etc.

i would guess that they will say all baptized believers should partake.

i don't have time to look up a post that showed that the society has a circuit leasing site...........so here we go.

i looked up circuit leasing in my program "copernic" (ah what a wonderful thing) and i came up with a page that shows that not only are they in grand rapids, mi but they are also in 4 other states.

Thinking about the end of the Watchtower

first, a word about the watchtower’s financial position: nobody (outside the watchtower organization) knows.

the wtbs is not required to disclose its finances, and doesn’t.

we can speculate, but that is all we are doing.

My opinion is that with the current transformation with all the use of media like movied, video and tablets, and all the choir, gospel, country and reli pop music, the wts is searching for an adjusted place in the religion landscape.
