I hate the one that had been popular recently "but I digress."

Yes, and I still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, too.
You mean the Easter bunny is not real too? I suppose you'll tell me the Tooth Fairy is fake as well! There is just no pleasing you bubble poppers.

Did you think adults were more mature when you were a kid?
by Wordlygirl ini am 25 years old now and work in a manufacturing and distribution facility.
when i was a kid, i always thought adults acted "old" and were usually wakled the straight and narrrow line.
but now that i have been in the workplace for a few years, i am shocked at how "high school" things still are.

I am glad that it is a common occurence. I was shocked when I first went to work here and saw how folks acted, even the women!! One of the women in my dept was talking about how Dino, a former boyfriend, had a penis that curved to the left when erect. Now sometimes another woman will hold a banana at her groin and say "Hello, My name is Dino." LOL

I am 25 years old now and work in a manufacturing and distribution facility. When I was a kid, I always thought adults acted "old" and were usually wakled the straight and narrrow line. But now that I have been in the workplace for a few years, I am shocked at how "high school" things still are. In fact there is a song by a group called Bowling for Soup that has a song called "High School Never Ends" and it is so true.
We have a large warehouse and it has about 25 material handler folks and when I go there to check on items that have been received, I am amused at the conversations I overhear. First, a lot of the guys there like to pretend they are gay and will say things like "Don't bend over like that Robert, my wifes away on a business trip." Or "I like that shirt Carlos, it fits so tight and highlights your pecks"
Some of the guys will approach another worker and then fart and run off. Now in case you are assuming these are all young guys, that is not the case. They range from the early 20's to the late 50's and age seems to have little effect on how they behave other than the older ones call in "sick" less.
What sparked me to write this was what happened yesterday. There is a couple who works here who have been seeing each other for a couple of years, but they go out of there way to hide it or at least make it not so obvious. Unfortunately everyone is pretty much aware of it and they do not seem to realize that. Anyhoo, their names are Rosa and Rich and yesterday I overheard one of them tell a coworker "What did Rosa say after giving oral to her boyfriend?" After the co-worker shrugged his shoulders, the other said "ooh, tastes Rich."
Are adults like this everywhere?

Hello everyone
by Wordlygirl ini have been lurking on here for some time and i finally decided to join the fray.
i am 25 years old and was raised in the society.
fortunately when i was 8, my father left the organization and this allowed me to see the wrold from both angles, the jw (mom) and not (dad).. at first, i was strongly on the side of the witnesses and i even allowed myself to be convinced that getting baptised at 11 was a good idea.

Hi Oompa,
I have read some of your earlier posts and I believe I lived close to you at one point. I was born and raised in Dallas, but in 2002 my mom and my sister and I moved to Wilmington, NC. That is where I met my first husband (JW). That is also the period when I began to fade from the organization. After we divorced, I returned to the Dallas area where I still reside. I miss Wilmington as it was so close to the beach.
