last night at meeting they told us to just use our blood cards from last year.
in the past they've always told us how important it was to get it signed every year so that people could see our current views as jw's.....doesn't this new arangement negate everything they've ever said in regards to this?
absolutely nuts!.

Happy man,
Friends help friends, brothers help brothers. May I ask, what are the Arab Governments of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait doing to help their own? Are they sending military help, are they openly supporting the Palestinian cause? Are they FIGHTING for the Palestinians? Where are their armies? Why are their armies not helping the Palestinians?
Please, I am longing for an answer on this issue.
Privately I believe the young man who is pictured with his head blown apart died for nothing. The political leaders will one day make peace but not before they damn well feel like it!!! In the mean time more young men and women will die on both sides!
One last thought. Maybe what the Palestinian and Jewish people should do is have a general strike, both peoples should strike. They should strike until their leaders come to a mutual agreement, one which will by majority vote be approved by the people!

the first 4 pages (part one) examines the arguments amnesian made regarding jw elder and non-elder culpability.
the last 6 pages (part two) address her disguised agenda, hidden in sassy-classy language:.
part one: are jw elders, who no longer believe the religion, culpable of wrong if they choose to stay jws for some period, even many years?.
Amazing,
I agree with part 1 of your post.
If Amnesian is unable to let it go, so be it let her wallow in her thing.

an english professor wrote the words, "woman without her man is nothing," on.
the blackboard and directed the students to punctuate it correctly.. the men wrote: "woman, without her man, is nothing.".
the women wrote: "woman!
"Woman, without her man, is nothing"
"Woman! Without her, man is nothing"
Woman - man = nothing
Man - woman = nothing
Conversely:
Nothing + man = woman?
Nothing + woman = man?
Is this the theory of evolution in disguise?
Sorry, just couldn't help play with this!

just a quick thought - i am a firm believer in freedom of speech etc, but having been on this forum for some time i honestly can't say that i can introduce a doubting jw interested in true christianity to this board.
some of the deep discussions on jw doctrine are excellent, but everything else seems to be nonsense in my opinion.
why can't this site be more like the old www.witnesses.net which seemed to have more spiritual meat rather than backbiting, gossip, and rumour and even obscenity.. sorry for my frank opinion
aChristian,
LOL Yes!!
I stand by what I said, "You are dangerous" to some xJWs who think they are happy in their disbelief. Intelligent persuasion coupled with a "turning of the other cheek" is powerful stuff!
Still, I will not agree on Paul.
I would though like to hear your thoughts on why Luke chose to place parts of parallel illustrations to Matthew 24, in Luke 17 instead of Luke 21. I know this thread is not the place, but just thought you might someday post your thoughts on that and on Matthew 24 and Luke 21 in general. I would be interested in what you have to say.

aChristian,
Thanks for responding. You did post this on the "Objections answered to the Deity of Christ" thread on March 23, 2001.
I respect your ability to answer objections calmly and while refuting those objections not demeaning those whose opinions differ from yours.
I enjoy reading your posts,

I do not know your beliefs on the trinity issue. Is there another thread here where you have discussed this subject? If so could you post the title, I would be interested in reading why you feel that Jesus is the Creator.
I will not propose any questions or counter arguments to you on the subject, I just want to understand where you are coming from on this.
OOPs, sorry just found it!!!!
Thanks,

hey peeps, how are you?.
the name is mark, i've been hanging around here from time to time.
i read about the elders meeting with officer danni.s.
Hi Mark,
What an experience! Thanks for sharing it with us.
You said:
"Join in the fight to expose the doctrines. Joining in will help make changes for everyone. Think about the family members you may have had to leave behind because they are told to shun you, think about the blood issue, and women being treated as not equals. There are so many changes that are needed. There are good people here, you all have the power in your hands. If you only knew how much power you have. Let's make changes."
I would like to ask are there any other Biblical differences you have with the Watchtower? What I mean is other than the blood, shunning and women's issues, have you any other disagreements with Brooklyn. For example, Christ's invisible presence, the Gentile Times understanding, the teaching on the Faithful and Discreet Slave, or the Little Flock verses the Other Sheep teaching etc. Are you in agreement with these? If not could you let us know what you think about these teachings?
Thanks, just curious how some active brothers are feeling about these things.

i was having quite an intense disscussion (ok, argument )with some of my family last weekend.. my brother said in answer to some points that i raised , that the society has scholars who do research and will have the answer to my questions.. i said i know of no sholars in the society, he said thats because the world does not recognise them as such.what i ment (but did not continue saying as the conversation changed direction , again) was that the people who do research and study for the society arent really scholars as they are not free to look for the real truth only to confirm what the society says.their skills are really knowledge of the societies beliefs.. well it is true that a scholar is just someone who has a great knowledge of a particular subject.so you could argue that the society does have scholars as they are people with great knowledge of the organistaions rules .but what must people would mean my scholars are people who put a great deal of time and effort into research and study of an issue as to whether it is true or false, real or make believe.. can the society have scholars in that sense?.
well a recent watchtower article stated that we could not even have private opinions on bibles matters.. in order to research whether a certain witness view point was valid or not you would have to entertain the idea that a certain viewpoint could be wrong.
but this would put you at odds with the society , as you cannot think differently even privately your own opinions on bible matters.
drahcir yarrum,
You said, "a really smart person, knowing the truth about the WTS would most likely leave and either join another group of likeminded people or form his/her own group of likeminded people."
There are "really smart" people there who for good reasons have chosen to stay and they will be there when the GB breaks.
The "mountain" WILL come to "Mohammed"!

Sleepy,
Just as there was a Raymond Franz and a Br. Dunlap at Bethel years ago, there are brothers there now who "know" and who are working and waiting for the day when God will take retribution against the Org. for all the pain and damage it has caused. They will be there to pick up the "pieces".
Please do not discount them.
