My first post was an immediate response to yours. I had read your bio., then clicked on this thread. For some reason those questions came to mind, I had no sinister plan.

My second post asked about reincarnation because you said:

If you want to keep your beliefs private that is certainly your right. Apparently my questions were an intrusion on your privacy. Again, I apologize for that.

Do you believe in reincarnation? If so, what reasons and proofs do you have in order to believe. If not, then please help me to understand the above quote.

Hello Kenpodragon,

I am glad you have discovered that water does have a flavor.

Now, does life have an end? That is a question which needs an answer. Another is: can a "dead" person come back to life. A third might be: is it possible to be dead and want to remain so?

The Bible is a Deck of Cards

there are a variety of playing cards and a variety of games to play with them.. the bible's canon was selected with as much care and selfish intent as the makers of playing cards have when choosing their particular design or theme.. the "hebrew" canon was decided by a nation comdemned by jesus.

they picked the design.. the "christian greek" canon was decided by men who had left the teachings of the christ.

they also picked the design.. the whole thing is a sad joke.

Who ARE These People?

it bears reminding people that there are a number of very high ranking men in brooklyn who are quite aware that the practice of disfellowshiping for just-about-anything is totally unscriptural.

they are aware of stories like the young girl who committed suicide did so because her sister caught her smoking a cigarette and threatened to turn her in.

they are aware that their blood transfusion policy is not supported by scripture and that approximately 10,000 jws were not given a chance to save their lives as a result.

Who are these people?

Put them in another part of the earth or a different time and they are Muslim religious leaders, Jewish religious leaders, Christian religious leaders of the Spanish Inquisition and other atrocities, Hindu religious leaders, Buddhist religious leaders etc.

It's just plain old damn religion! Ironically the greatest affront to God has been religion! If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

this quote comes from a recent post: "countless humans have died because of satan's stinking deed in the garden.

" for the sake of my question, please forget that it came from a jw, after all most christians blame satan and/or adam & eve for bringing down the curse of age and death on humans.

my question: why does god never get any of the blame for this?

Human Sacrifice

in my religious and cultural heritage, human sacrifice has always been abhored.

yet, that is what the christ was; a human sacrifice.. the jewish writings condemned human sacrifice, but the christians reveled in the notion that a man died in their place.. human sacrifice is the foundation of the christian faith.

The Mayans, Incas and Aztecs practiced human sacrifice. This was their way, it is not a condemnation of these peoples it was the way they and many others attempted to please their gods. Not too different from the Christians' attempt to please their god.
