because we are his children and he is our father. In human families fathers are supposed to take care of their kids. If a human father sees his 4 year old about to cross a 5 lane interstate highway, he tries to save him. He wont let the child wander off on its own to teach him a lesson about how he cant take care of himself.In the same way it's a very valid question of why, if god exsists and he lvoes us. does he allow terrible things like the holocaust to happen when it is perfectly within his power to stop it. If he allows something to happen, it is the same as if he did it himself. If i allow a murder to take place that was within my power to stop and I do nothing, i am bloodguilty and held accountable in court.
We are mere children to god, like newborn babies are to us but worse. So why does he allow us to try to govern ourselves and allow countless innocent people to die? Either he is a psycho like hitler or he dosent exsist or he dosent give a damn about us.
You are reflecting the religious thinking of Christianity. IMO, we should forget this child thing, we are grown men and women!
God made earth, animal, man and the necessary systems to maintain life. What! Do we need to be baby sat? Wild horses make their way in this world, blue whales make their way in this world; but mankind needs coddling? Who is more "childlike" man or the animals?
The point of this thread was: IMO, mankind needs to grow up, stop blaming God, take life as it comes, assume the responsibility of the good and bad and of the making our own way in this world! The animals make their own way. Why should WE, the "animal" far superior than all the others, bitch to God when things go wrong? On this earth things go wrong all the time! but things also go very right!
Most parents see the necessity and beneficial effects of making their young adult children take responsibility for their own actions and their own support. Why should God not expect the same of mankind?
