Mary, You Rock...! that was excellent and well done! I would very much like to keep a copy of that and have it handy for my next round with my sister, and I will not take credit for it, but share it's valuable truths and knowledge.

how can i slove this arguement?
by highdose ina freind of mine reckons that the ultimate in intelligence is to be "serious", never to have any fun, never anything "lowbrow", always watch serious tv programs, always read serious books, disscuss serious subjects etc.. and this means... if you are not "serious" in this manner then you simply cannot have any brains??!!.
i know this must be wrong... but i can't figure out why...?.

That is too bad for him, such a sad thing when someone blocks feelings of joy and happiness. Can't even crack a smile..can't even giggle at something adorable like a puppy or kitten pouncing on things that we can't even see! I think this guy has been seriously injured mentally, and is afraid to let any signs of laughter or joy show. I know someone like that....used to be anyway. He is getting much better and can sit and laugh about goofy things till the sky falls and loves it!
A good laugh is like an internal massage, it just feel soooo good!

Make August 2009 the dawn of the "mass exodus"...the beginning of the end of the Watchtower org!
by koolaid-man inthe watchtower organization is without doubt doing everything they can to keep their business afloat.
they are at a critical point in their ever so blemished present condition.
there is simply too much genuine criticism from not only those on the outside but, also from those on the inside.

Gladiator Said:
This is true but it doesn't happen now. The JWs have no power except the power we choose to give them. Their only weapon is silence but we still have a voice.
I am sooo glad you understand that! You said it perfect! The only power they have is the power people give them. It's all about frear....and every conceivable thing that fear propogates. There is nothing to fear. Detach from those you think you will be hurt by and move on.
Hey Gladiator, what is your book?
I am just starting to read CCMC by Steve hassan (thanks to bluecanary). I'd like to read your book too.
I know that is not esy for some, but one day you'll get to a place to test it out....walk away and be free.

Not ashamed, but regretful. I look at it like being in a relationship with an abusive man.....you get out and know better next time.

If you can write, and write fairly well, and LIKE it, there are tons of jobs on the net. I do freelance writing for Demand Studios, Associated Content and Textbroker. The pay averages about 8-10.00 an hour, depending on my energy level for the day and what I choose to write from.
I also ghost for anyone who needs anything written. I will be soon doing an autobiography of a blind horse trainer. Should be fun.
There are truly numerous opportunities working at home from the computer that are not scams. Who do you think takes those orders for infomercials? How about your cell phone customer service, and 1-800 FLOWERS. Some airlines are going to home agants. Customer Service reps are in high demand and pay nicely and all you do is commit to sitting at your computer and have a noise free environment, wear a headset and deal with the phone all day. I am too tired to look, but I know of a few sites that have an enormous listing of REAL work at home jobs. I will look tomorrow morning for the links.
Just a few now: www.sohojobs.com Yes, you pay fee for the service, after all, the owner takes lots of time gathering her leads and when she posts them, they are hiring then. Have a resume ready. These jobs are all homebased: admistrative assistans, research, paralegal, real estate, graphics, customer service and so much more. It is well worth the 25.00 or 30.00 bucks to have access for a few months.
www.wahm.com. Check it out. Free and full of opportunities. I go ther looking for writing gigs.
www.wplh.com (Work Place Like Home) Same kinda deal. Have fun. Great people. Lots leads and new ones every day.
Working from home is fast, and I mean fast.... becoming the way we work. No go have fun. I'll see if I can get that other link I promised on here tomorrow when I am more alive.

Thanks MrsPeaches! That was a great observation you made, her not saying anything about Mom. She pounced on me first. We have been exchanging emails since this thread started....and I have brought Mom up again....nothing. It's all about her defense of the WTS and her beliefs.
I truly do understand that by attacking someone's faith, you can hurt them deeply. I only intent to meet her on the level she dishes out to me. I have retaliated her jabs before, but this time I am ticked. I have a good mind to drag her butt over to this board and show her a thing or two. How do I do that? I have a plan. It would be so easy, and she'd have to find me here. For her to come vist an apostate forum would be enough to drive her over the edge, but I know Sis, once she got over it, she'd be curious and open her eyes a bit more.
Looks like I'll have to eat all that snowcrab by myself if these two sisters of mine don't get their head out of their butts.
