i am told that plans for a new bethel in milton keynes have been scrapped.. rumours are circulating amongst the uk witnesses that this decision has been taken because armageddon is just around the corner following the incidents at the wtc.. one wonders as to whether or not future downsizing might be due to an expected backlash and reduction in adherents following the exposure of the societies ngo membership of the united nations, rather than the rather lame and oft repeated armageddon is just around the corner sketch.. i wonder.. englishman.. nostalgia isn't what it used to be....
The UK situation re Bethel is somewhat skewed because of the French tax problems and that french mags etc. are now being printed here in the UK. There was a need to increase the facilities in the UK but that has nothing to do with an actual increase. If they decide to not proceed in MK..IMO it does not mean a great deal worldwide.

some of you may remember that when i joined this forum i was having problems at home regarding the un issue.
everything appears to have settled down now and i promised my mum that i wouldnt mention it again to her.
however, looking back at the events around that time, i feel that the circuit overseer not only made it difficult for me, but also for my mother.
Sirona...its a good letter. I would send it to the CO and send a copy to the body of elders. Whereas the WTS will only selectively answer correspondance I expect that he will feel obliged to. It will be interesting to see how he responds.

hello, i am new to this board, han have read only read a few of the post's, but i believe that 'any church that confesses that jesus came in the flesh is ok to go to', i know that some think that jesus is god, but i always think of the scripture ' no man has seen god at anytime', but alot of people seen jesus, theirfore jesus cannot be god, he is the son of god.
' i don't worry, i go buy my conscience and do things in moderation.
