  i'm from england and on the sky comedy channels we get everybody loves raymond and king of queens.

  imo they're two of the funniest programmes on telly, i love 'em.

  is anyone else a fan of these?

  Ah, you can't beat Monty Python. I first saw it as a little kid and it blew my mind (and split my sides lol) I watched Life of Brian for the first time recently (as a jw it was a bit frowned upon by most witnesses i knew) and i thought it was brilliant!

  My favourite modern comedy shows are Spaced, Peep Show, The I.T Crowd, Father Ted, Catherine Tate. The Inbetweeners is pretty good as well. Funnily enough i'm not so keen on The Mighty Boosh, i'm not sure why cause everyone else loves it. ..I must be a bit weird lol.

  This Fading Stuff is Tough!!

  overall my fade is going very well, but yesterday it really hit me that certain "milestones" are going to be more difficult than others.. i have basically gotten down to one meeting a week, wth no field service.. this despite the dreaded admonition "one week without field service makes one weak!

  " (puke).

  as i was on the way to the meeting yesterday, i was informed that i was assigned to read the wt.

  'AW BALLS' lol that made me laugh so much!

  But seriously, it's a horrible position your are in, i really feel for you. Trust me though, it will be worth it in the end when you are finally free. You will look back at this time and it will hopefully be just a distant memory, and you will be enjoying your life the way you should. I don't know your story or your reasons for fading rather than DA'ing but hang in there, lepermessiah

  i wrote a little poem about being at the meeting.

  i apologise beforehand if all the commas and full stops are in the wrong places, i'm not very good with punctuation .

  Thanks GapingMouth and Wizard . Urgh, yes the boasting sessions were like Chinese water torture! And now i know it really was a complete waste of time i'm even more angry at all the hundreds and hundreds of wasted hours i spent sitting through them

  Why do JW's pussyfoot around saying what Armegeddon really is?

  Yes, they mainly use terms like that when talking to householders on the ministry and other unbelievers. But apart from that, many of themlovedescribing it in the most gruesome terms possible! Some witnesses have a morbid, unhealthy obsession with Armageddon and all the gory details IMO. When i was a jw i just tried not to think about it if at all possible...mainly because i thought i'd be birdfood anyway lol. The thought of millions dying horrific deaths did not excite or delight me in the least, wheras some seemed to get an almost orgasmic pleasure out of dicussing it - wierdos!
