MY 20TH BIRTHDAY

so this is only the 4rth birthday ive ever celebrated so im make a big deal anyone else finding the enjoyment of birthdays.i had o tell my mom last night that my b day was today and all she said was "im happy you were born" wich is alot for her.and my dad thought it was yesterday aw well happy birthday to meeeeeeeee!.

Elders Trash Face Book

just found out that elders and spies are trolling face book and my space.

some elders in xxx congregation began trolling face book looking for wayward souls and using the links to other friends etc to get more info.

they waited until they had enough ammo on the 'friends' and then printed off some of the conversations being had....questioned the 'friends' who of course denied everything..and then they produced the printed copies to catch them in the lies.

Instead of concentrating on helping the young ones, youth camps/groups, they troll the popular websites to see if they can catch them doing a no-no. Helping the flock is completely outside the realm of possibility. What a useless bunch of leaders.

That is how it is set up from HQ...no "extra" effort to help couples or youth or anybody...just keep everybody in fear of expulsion in order to "keep the congregation clean."

this is so true. They get more of a kick out of catching someone doing something wrong then seeing someone 'progress' in the troof (vomit)

as a newbie here, only having discovered this site a few days ago, i wanted to share with you my early observations and impressions.. being out of touch with the witnesses the last 13 years, i didn't realize sites like this existed.. my thinking was all apostate sites were places of doctrinal discussions on the trinity, hellfire, etc... with bitter x-jw's ranting 24/7.

so i was never excited about allowing more controversy to my life nor visiting such sites.. this is different.. what i'm noticing is that most here seem to be well versed in witness doctrine, much more so than the visiting jw's.

perhaps there is a protection for the wts in keeping people ignorant?.

I think you'll fit in here just fine! there's some people who like to have a wee argument with posters now and then but I think 99.99% of people stick around becuase they found healing here and stay to help other newbies.

I need help finding my father

i'm not even sure where to begin with this.. my father is considered an apostate and i haven't been allowed to talk to him for 14 years.

now i don't even have any connections to him.

i don't know anyone he knows and i don't even know basic things like where he lives.. any help on someplace where i could look him up would be appreciated..

Did You Ever "Enjoy" Being A Jehovah's Witness?

one thing i've realized is that witnesses love feeling better than their fellowman.

did being a witness make you feel better about yourself?.

I enjoyed being with my friends when I was one. The religious aspect did make me feel like I was hopeless though. And of course my friendships were conditional which I realised when I made the break.

hello i am new to this site.

i am not sure if im posting in the right spot but have a few questions.

i am no way a jw never have been and never will be.

if the elders in his congregation knew what he was doing he would not be approved to get baptised.

Sex outside of marriage - NOT ALLOWED (and as others have said what he is doing is illegal and should be reported to the police)
Chewing tobacco - NOT ALLOWED
Looking at Porn - NOT ALLOWED

Now keep in mind they won't take your word for it. they want evidence and if you don't have evidence that want TWO PEOPLE who witnessed the crimes.

You will feel better. I promise you this. At the moment it hurts and you may feel very angry. But that is natural. I promise that you will come out of this stronger, more enlightened and in a position to help others. Just remember this will take time, so try to not get to frustrated.

13 months later.

probably 1500 applications/resumes online and in person.. it is not a great job - flippin' burgers - and the distance is a bit more than we wanted for her to drive - but we are thankful!

they mentioned possible management in the interview - so perhaps it can grow over time.. anyway - it will help keep the wolves off the doors.
