While the WTS taught in 1926 that all "Bible Students" were going to heaven; they also taught that the people that were not going to heaven would be living forever on earth.

Like the ancient bible elders who were going to be resurrected back then and live in Beth Sarim? - yes, forgot about that. But they might as well have been in heaven if they were going to be able to fly like the angels. I guess they did not realize back then that comets are mostly ice and are not hot (of themselves) like the sun.

Wait just a minute - if this was in 1926, didn't they think at that time that all witnesses were going to heaven?

I thought the "great crowd to live on paradise earth" was invented by Rutherford in the 1930s.

Pendulums. Are they dangerous?

the external examiner erkki koskenniemi professor of abo university, finland, was drastic in his opening when he said that "if gunnar samuelsson is right, then all lexica will need revision on this point.

If you actually believe that christ died for mankind at the wishes of God, then what shape the cross was is non-essential. If it were essential, the new testament would have spelled it out.

If you are a skeptic of the story as I am, then you simply don't care.

If you are a witness, then you care because you want to put down approximately 1/3rd of the earth's conventional christian population because YOU ARE RIGHT and THEY ARE WRONG about the cross - even though you cannot seem to live down constant false prophecy.

Stake versus Cross is theological nonsense.

That depends on the individual. If that individual wants out and wishes to seek help from the church then I see no reason why the church cannot help.

That can only be true if it is totally a matter of choice. I personally do not think this is an optional matter of choice for the vast majority of homosexuals - no more than what your gender is for heterosexuals.

I also am skeptical that churches should be actively trying to run peoples lives, after having experienced the witnesses myself.

most people don't believe he is capable of miracles.

but what exactly is expected of him?

Actually if you think about it Woods, the worst thing we could do right now would be quit spending. Inflation is pretty much nil right now.

Wierdest Yearbook experience EVER 1967 A "talking snake" silenced by an African Witness!!!

yearbook 1967 p.105 "{chad -africa}.....a large crowd was follwing a man who had a talking serpent.

the serpent gave greetings and spoke in foriegn tongues...a brother was passing by and attracted by the commotion, he went to the house...as soon as he entered the room the serpent stopped talking.

the man cried out: "a magican has entered the room"...the brother said: "is that a serpent or a demon that is talking to you?...i know that since god created the animals not one sepent has spoken, with the exception of the one in the begining in the garden of eden...seeing that the serpent remained silent the man left the building...later he was anxious to get some literature....".
