  Murder in the Bible.

  the story of cain and able in chapter four of the bible takes up about sixteen lines or verses of the bible.. it is arguably history's most famous murder.. but the story is silent about one key detail: the weapon cain used to kill his brother.. it's not a rock, or a sharpened stone.

  yes, there was blood.. and to this day, the world's first murder weapon is still lost to history.. why has the writer/ writers left this important information out?.

  afterall to charge someone with murder you need to have a murder weapon.. are there any other murders in the bible where the weapon used is unknown and or lost to history.. blueblades/mall cop.

  For a strict bible literalist, there would of course be the logical problem of where the third and fourth humans ever to live on earth would have gotten a sword in the first place.

  I.E. - who mined the mieral ore, discovered metallurgy, crafted the sword, etc...at a time when a population of less than half a dozen people would have to have been hunter-gatherers to have a minimal survival.

  Unless, of course, the fundamentalist waves his hands in the air and proclaims that God gave them the sword.

  righteously "poisoning the well" of watchtower (wt) - nowadays this is a metaphorical expression.

  don't take it literally; no violence, no persecution, no stigmatizing.. most are not aware but they have been using this in one form or another.

  but using this on wt is difficult because wt is so strong, organized and effective that metaphorically only "spattered poison" reaches the well which by now starts to taste bitter.. for it to be righteous, it has to be truthful, no matter how scandalous.

  Paul's writings are full of love, compassion and tenderness, yes many times his views can seem cruel, nearsighted, even bigot like at times.

  I have to say that much of it comes off to me now as the rantings of a very angry gay activist.
