i'm having an exam in mineralogy in 20 days and need to learn 120+ pages of content.
i've learned a part of it so far.
i'm just curious how did you/do you study?
Mind maps are great for learning detailed information.
Unfortunately with some information there is no shortcut, it has to be learned by rote. I found studying Chemistry easier than studying for my MBA, because as you point out, chemistry is a case of learning the principles and then simply visualising what the electrons are doing. Whereas learining business strategy and theory was laborious memorisation.
.. the new wbt$ donation arrangement/ jw kingdom hall bank account theft... is a very hot topic right now... the wbt$ is literally going to clean out kingdom hall bank accounts,filled with donations from jws... that theft is going to happen world wide..the wbt$ is going to steal from 7 million plus jw`s... .. we have jw elders here on jwn,that know whats going on... they "serve" in kingdom halls,they are "supposed" to be looking after the welfare of the average jw... they know there is a 4 page letter,only one page will be read to the congregation..the rest will be kept secret... they know the wbt$ is about to steal jw donations..on a world wide scale!!!...
.. i would like to know what you active jw elders are going to do about this??!!...

as kid i remember a break of 15 minutes between the public talk and the wt study.
all the new ones and "weak" ones ran out to smoke.
loved to see the attendant round them up to come back in when the droning began again.
I remember them - just.
any current or ex jw knows there is a lot of counsel against association with nice people that do not share your faith.
i think this is very damaging for personal growth, we never really can challenge our convictions, we become stunted in ability to reason and make personal decisions.
this is also why the organization has fought against "higher education" so hard.
I disagree with lots of my friends on many different subjects. They are of course wrong and will eventually see things my way.
i started reading the feb 2014 public watchtower about a war that changed the world.
