Hi Stillin, I'm still a JW on paper, I want out without being DF'd. To know that others have been in the same situation makes it easier. I want to hear opinions from both believers and non-believers on this board. What I don't want is to be preached at, I have had 42 years of that.

true christians shouldn't swim...
by highdose ini've using the jw way of thinking eg its not in the bible/ jesus never did it/ bad things are recorded as happening in the same account.
i've come to the conclusion then that the bible says it is wrong to swim.
think about it.... jesus is never mentioned as doing a couple of quick lengths!

% of witnesses actually making disciples?.........
by oompa ini dont think my wife even wants a return visit!.......i do not think she has placed any literature in over a year from the stack of old mags i see, and her bookbag looks the exact same every time i see it........ i wonder how many witnesses actually try to make a disciple?

Everyone's circumstances are different. They have to deal with their fade in accordance with the situation they face. Most faders do not have anything to fall back on when they start to fade and need to bridge the gap between being a JW and a free person by playing a game of deception. The thought of losing everyting in quick succesion is too much for the everage person to cope with.
When I joined this forum I thought I was in a unique situation, I have since found that what I am goping through is not new, many people here have had to go through it. We have had ti lie and decieve, it doesn't sit well but is necessary to save our sanity.

There are too many posts about Obama's health reforms on here, as someone from the UK, where I see the positive side of the National health System (as well as the few downsides), I hate all the negativity shown to his, well-intentioned reforms.
