Isaac The UK position is the same as that in the US. AE is due a shepherding call to encourage her to prepare for meetings in order to get the most out them. This in addition to the Worship night where we should be fortifying ourselves for the iminant destrcution of the system of things.

Two new leaflets announced at Meeting today - desparate times?
by cantleave ini don't know if anyone else has posted about this, but at tonight's meeting it was announced there are two new leaflets one dealing with how to leave a legacy for the worldwide work and the other on how to make tax effective contributions?.
this maybe for the uk only but i thought it showed that they really are focussing on filling up the depleted coffers..

For those who accept the concept of "Race"
by TD in--i personally don't, but it appears that many here unhesitatingly do.. for those that do, i'm honestly curious why you do.
is there a rational basis for the acceptance of the concept of "race" that can be tested?.
for example, here are eight people from eight ethnic groups.

Where will I go ---- As far away from the WTS as possible, with my family and as many of many friends as I can (I am working on one or two already, I am surprised how many JW's secretly have doubts).
I want to spend what's left of my life building my business and enjoying myself without the fear of Armageddon and and displeasing a false god.
I need to make enough money to compensate for the fact my pension has down the sh*thole! (Nothing to do with the WTS just a crap pension fund).
I want to encourage my kids to get a decent education and undertake any career they want to without feeling guilty for it.
I want to be FREE

I forgot mention that these leaflets are obtainable through the COBE or Secretary, not through the literature counter, so aimed entirely at the congregation.
My wife's study was there last night I wonder what she thought.

Oct.15th WT- " Wanna Be Jesus Friend? Have to Support the Faithful Slave"
by flipper inunder the study article " you are my friends " ( indicating jesus naturally by his quote ) the wt society makes it very clear that the only way to be jesus friend is to come through them or else you won't be approved by jesus or god.
translation : friendship with jesus = treating the " faithful slave " kindly = jesus approving you.
our jw relatives will be studying this in december at their meetings.. under the subheading on pg.

I'm still an Elder so is Christ pleased with me. My counsel would be look it up on the internet.
Seriously the focus on financial matters is getting so obvious now, surely this will lead more people to start asking if this organisation really does have god's blessing.
What is so infuriating is so many R&F have finacial problems themselves, they need to focus on looking after the needs of their own families, as the scriptures instruct, but by guilt tactics are being forced to donate more to the WTBS.
This time of year they are ordering CD Rom's, Bound Volumes, Calanders, Examining Scriptures etc. and they are being reminded that there are costs involved in printing these things so "please don't forget the "voluntary" contributions - BTW your freindly literature servant can tell what the suggested level for each item is".

Scars not from a loving mother, but a deceptive money grabbing organisation preporting to represent god on behalf of millions. The scars I have I am definitely NOT proud of, they are a reminder to the life I have wasted.

maybe somebody has already thought of this and i missed it.
this thought was sparked by the thread about them going after another website quoting their material.. i think the watchtower is about to divide its religious and secular functions completely.

It would seem a logical approach, but for one thing. They are a registered charity and have had support from tax-payers bucks in many of the countries they operate in. Whatever assets they have on their books are not theirs to to make a profit on. So creating two entities would have very little benefit and probably would create more disadvantages then advantages.
But we can rest assured whatever they do will have jehovah's backing and will result in a theocratic increase during these last minutes of the last days.
