Worship pub. changes, FDS doctrine affected?

howdy folks,.

last night i was reviewing the new publication: "worship the only true god" ("worship") which is an update of the "united in worship of the only true god" ("united").. while i only spent a short time doing this there are evidently many changes.

some are just grammatical or stylistic changes and others i am wondering if they may be more significant in terms of doctrinal shifts.. examples:.

My guess, they are running out of annointed to fill the GB.. Soon, the entire GB will be made up of the non-annointed class. JUST IN CASE Armageddon <hehe> doesn't come before that event does, they are covering their bases, and beginning to lay the foundation for a way to not have any of the annointed, and yet still be in control of the R&F's daily lives!!!!

Being the stout and great Jehovah's Witness that you are, I think it would do you good to read Ray's books, so you can properly defend yourself, and your religion from them.

And, even your own organization quotes from the bible that someone persecuting you cannot harm you, or your love of Jehovah. Jehovah will ALWAYS protect you.

So, you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.. Go read his book, and pick it apart, and let us know specifically what it wrong with it.. It cannot stumble you, as you Love Jehovah with all your heart, he will protect you!!!

You are not AFRAID to read Ray's book because you fear it will stumble you, are you? -- That would be a sign that you will be destroyed, as the bible states!!! Don't be afraid, read the book!!! It cannot hurt you, and it will probably do you some good.!!!!

Ahh, bleep, I think I found where you misunderstand... A cult doesn't ever let anyone HONORABLY leave the organization.. Being disfellowshipped is not honorably leaving.. It is being kicked out..

For instance, what exactly did Bill Bowen do to deserve being disfellowshipped? He voiced a concern about the way the organization handles child abuse cases (either proven, or just accusasions of abuse)...

Bill, as you have read on this board by now, has been disfellowshipped for doing so. Can you tell me the reason for his disfellowshipping? What scriptures did he break? What Moral or ethic did he violate?

What was done to Bill is a perfect example of how a cult will act.....

Yes, ethics and morals are good.. Gothics and Satan worshippers are far worse.. So, which of those 4 is Bill Bowen guilty of? And, my guess is that you in your heart know that he is none of the 4, that is why you are having such a hard time right now..

Bleep, I think you are experiencing a bought of cognitive dissonance. Question is, are you gonna try and bury your head in the sand and try to make the pain go away, or are you gonna go with the motto, "No Pain, No Gain".. Bleep, ignore the pain, and keep looking into everything you've been told.. Take off those rose-colored glasses that you've been given, and take a good look around!!!

Could you post the page/revision and title of the book (Crisis of Conscience or In Search of Christian freedom) you are quoting from, so I can look it up for myself. Then I will comment.

I would like to verify that indeed it is a quote from the book, and also like to see the context in which it was written.. We all know that if you are quoting someone, you must quote them properly, and in context, so as not to put 'words' in the mouth of someone!

If you wish, I can find the WT literature that states how to properly quote someone..

Are you breaking WT policy? If not, provide the Book Title, page #, paragraph, and the revision of the book so we can check for ourselves please.. I'd love to see the context of this one!!!

Well, I don't know, maybe I'm just seeing things different but I am NOT outraged.
Instead I am killing myself laughing.
In fact I can't stop laughing.
These bozos have played right into our hands people. They have given us another round with the lame street press. This is getting press play through out the world. Its been ongoing since May 9, 2002.
Do you know how tough it is to get this stuff, especially a tiny little group like the JWs, into the major newspapers.
And if you think for one second that people like me don' have a few more cards to play - well ....
They just don't know what they have done.

Ya know, Hawk.. As I was reading this, I was thinking this is great!!! (Sorry Bill, I feel for your loss, but something tells me that you really don't want to be associated with the organization in it's current state, anyway)..

I couldn't agree more, Hawk!!!! In fact, I'm taking the AP press release and asking my JW friend to find out for me why he was DF'd... !!!!!

And, I'm sure ALOT of news stories will be printed about this one (Dateline would probably love the 'follow-up', as would the BBC)... !!!!

A few years ago, I studied with them, and at the time I had read CoC, and asked them why Ray Franz was DF'd.. They told me he was DF'd because of Apostacy.. They did not believe he was DF'd because he was caught 'eating' with his landlord... Back then, in 1980, they could cover the facts of the real reason for his DF because there was no real way for people to get the word out; I.E. No Internet.. This time it will be different, even if we cannot get to the current JW's, we can surely get the word out to any 'new prospects' exactly what they did, and why!!!!

The Myth of Unconditional Love

many well-meaning persons believe that the ideal state of love and relationship between two persons is one that is unconditional.

this is simply referred to as unconditional love and what is meant by a person subscribing to this belief is simply that: no conditions are attached to my loving you wholly.

The love you described for your children does have a condition. The condition needed for the extent of love you described is them being your offspring. If that biological tie did not exist (coupled with the fact that you have poured your life into raising them), then I would imagine your love might be different

Oh, I don't know about that one either..

I have a cousin and her husband that when they originally were married were told they couldn't concieve.. So, they adopted a boy... About 8 years later, they had their own children (2 of their own and the adopted boy)...

There is ABSOLUTELY NO difference in how they treat their 3 children!!! I've seen the same pride in their faces when their adopted child does good, the same hurt when he is sick/in pain, the same anguish when he does something really stupid...

The LOVE is the same, and is unconditional... And, since he is not their biological child, there goes your argument..

Oh, I also have 2 friends who have adopted children, and in both cases later on had their own children.. In all 3 cases, the children are treated identically, I've never once gotten the feeling that the adopted child (or children in the case of one couple) experiences any more or less 'conditons' on the parents, or even the siblings love, for one another....

If you want to state there is a conditon, the condition is they are a family.. Biological doesn't play a part, at least not what I've seen!

The next time a witness presents a doctor with a no blood card,

I think the doctor should look the witness in the face and say,

"Good, now I don't have to waste any blood on you.. I can give it to my Christian patients whom actually believe that life is sacred and want to preserve it whenever possible"... <hehehehehe>...
