JW's DO eat Blood

why is it that jw's are so big on this no blood thing, yet still eat blood in their meat?

the dubs i know claim to "cook out" the blood, but this in no way meets biblical standards.

in fact the way meat is slaughtered doesn't come close to meeting kosher requirements in the bible.

i just got an email about marilyn z. she will be having bypass surgery this morning at 11:45 (ct)she thought she was going in for angioplasty, but they discovered that she has 4 arteries with 90% blockage.

i'll keep everyone posted.

marilyn has helped many of us.... cb

What do they go door to door for? And why is everyone who does NOT become baptized witnesses get treated as worldly?

That sounds like a judgement to me.. I don't know about them, but I certainly don't want to classify people as worldly who *MAY* have a realistic chance of being resurrected as one of Christ's brothers, for then I will have mistreated Christ's brother, and we all know what Christ said about that, what you do to the least of my brothers, you do to me also.

So, if they aren't judging, or seperating (grouping the haves and the have-nots), what exactly do they think they are doing?

I also have found much stuff written in their literature that states infatically that the 'organization' is the only thing that will make it through armageddon..

So, if they believe that they are the only ones that will make it (the organization, and any ones within the organization that are 'ok' in Jesus' eyes) for what purpose are they going door to door. They clearly believe that only they (the organization will pass through armageddon, and then by the 'grace' of god anyone associated with it whom god deems 'worthy')...

Kinda makes me think of a bible scripture:

Ephesians 4: (NIV)

i was 13 at the time that my only brother and his new wife introduced jehovah's witnesses to my family.. it was christmas time and we as a family were coming together to celebrate as we had done for as along as i could remember.. my brother said that him and his family would no longer celebrate and that we could discussed it at a later time... i was so upset.. my brother throwing away something that was so important too me...well i needed to know.. so my sister-in-law took me to my bedroom and showed me where we as christian shouldnt celebrate a holiday that is not of god.. again i was so upset and confused..... later the blood issue came up..my mother and father was upset by the thought that if anything happend to my niece and nephew that they would go to court to make sure they were taken care of.. and i told my mom why shouldnt she find out what they are being taught and then she would have grounds to fight if she had too...3years later my mother and father became a jw.... i struggled with this.. i never felt worthly of jehovah and his love.. i was so bad of a teenager.. so into the world.. how could he love me.....at 16 i was hooked on cigerettes and wanted to quit... i went to my parents and they went to the elders of their congregation.... one of the elders agreed to speak to me.. wheni went to the meeting i poured out my heart to this man.. and what he told me is that he could use me for time because i wasnt baptised... i was so hurt and turned off .. that it took many years and tears before i could get over that insult... years pass quickly.. and i am now in my 30's .

i just came out of an abusive relationship and was then practicing wicca... i was in a battered woman shelter.. and met a woman of the christian faith.. .

she gave me a book that talked about spiritual abuse.. here i was feeling abused and used and this book told me because i wasnt sharing god with my children that i was committing spirirtual abuse against them.. i got so scared i called up the local kingdom hall and started a study with one of the elders wife.. it didnt take to long to quit smoking and dedicate my life to jehovah... i was bapitised 5 months later and my oldest daughter bapitised a month after me.. life was great.. except i still felt as if i wasnt doing what i should for jehovah.. i was being told that i needed to get off welfare.. get a job.. when i did.. it was with a store that had catholic backing.. because it was tied to the beast.. i was made to quit as not to stumble a sister.. my daughter was working the field for 40 hours a week.

Yeah, all one needs to do is look in the scriptures for the answer to people celebrating Christmas:

NIV

Colossians 2:16
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

The NWT version is almost the same, except they 'ominously' deleted the word RELGIOUS...

Yeah, if the 'preaching' work isn't to seperate the sheep and the goats, ya gotta wonder why they still consider everyone not of their 'organization' worldly? After all, the bible is very clear about how you treat the least of my brothers you do to me.. If they believe that some of the 'worldly' may be their brothers, yet treat them as wordly, I wonder how Jesus/Jehovah will look at them for that on their judgement day?

Even if they claim it is not to seperate the Sheep and the Goats, that is what their actions are still doing, and as we all know, actions speak louder than words...

I heard a similar line of "reasoning" from a temp CO in California. He was trying to explain to me why it took years to finally discover that a DO was committing adultery on a regular basis. "Sometimes Jehovah uses dynamic individuals until he has no further use for them"> Huh?

Hehehe... Oh, gotta love JW reasoning.. They will do ANYTHING to avoid the dreaded cognative dissonance...

What's The Next Cut?

so, since jehovah can't be depended on to pay the watchtower's bills.

(he must be upset about that child molesting or false prophecy thing!),.

what can the society cut next in expenses?.

I can see the 'writing' in the WT announcing the 'new arrangement' of spiritual food on a monthly basis.

Dear brothers and sisters, the time is close at hand. Our spiritual food is almost complete. Jehovah has informed us that there is no need to give bi-weekly spiritual food, as we already know all we need to know in this the last gasp of Satan's rule. Also, Jehovah has told us to keep up with our field service work, but we will have to use older Awake! magazines to show honest-hearted ones, as Jehovah has also informed us that Awake! is no longer needed. There are very few honest hearted people left in the world, and new Awake! articles will not help. Jehovah suggests spending only a few minutes with the householder(s) to determine if they are honest hearted. If they are receptive to a bible study, watch them closely, as in these are indeed the last gasps of Satan. If they do not respond continually in each bible study session, Jehovah's advice is to stop the study, as you are being tricked by Satan. The honest hearted ones left on Earth will need very little 'reasoning', they just really need to hear Jehovah's words...

So, effective immediatly, we are implementing Jehovah's new requirements. As the spiritual food we have been given is almost complete, the Watchtower magazine will now only be published monthly, and the Awake! is being discontinued.

Isn't Jehovah wonderful.. Just when we were starting to doubght that the end was soooo close, Jehovah, realizing we were having a hard time bearing this load, lightened it for us and told us exactly how close the end is..

For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside?

Hmmm, maybe brotherX needs a lesson in the bible.. Sounds like he is still a spiritual 'babe' :-)
