  Anyone ever 'effectively' protest Jehovah's Witnesses?

  ever hold a peaceful protest outside a convention, kingdom hall, or otherwise, that had any serious positive outcome?.

  what have you found effective in reaching your former brothers and sisters, without coming off as a nafarious 'opposer of jehovah'?.

  this is asked in all seriousness, as my opinion is that most efforts fail nearly 100%.

  The only thing I can think of is you go some where, where no one knows you, tell no one that you even know anything about Jehovah's Witnesses, change the subject when ever anyone of your new acquantances bring up the subject, and avoid JW's. Definately do not answer any question from a JW.

  Otherwize you are only playing with a double edged sword.

  I will have to think on that, but so far I think the only ones that would boycot a JW business owner would be members of their own faith.

  We always watched and even lit fireworks on the 4th of July...

  now my dad is trying to tell me going to watch the fireworks is celebrating it - the same as celebrating christmas... i told him that i don't care i'm going anyways and i'm taking hubby and daughter with me... he said in a not to happy tone, "ok".... i mean, what is he gonna do?

  nope!

  cause then he will get in trouble also and probably loose his elder status... .

  I was born and raised in a JW familly, my JW dad always brought us fireworks, some times we lived in a state whre fire works are elligal, but my dad would take us across state line and bring them back.

  I remember we were throwing fireworks out the window of the car and an airplane like firework chaced us for a long time. another time we were out in the country shooting off fireworks, we started out holding roman candles and shooting it as if it where a gun or something, and my brother lit a firecracker and forgot it wasn't a roman candle and it blew up while he was still holding it. Lucky he did not lose a finger.

  My dad use to shoot cherry bombs with a sling shot over this school, and into a grocery store parking lot, one landed in front of this kid riding his bicycle, and the cherry bomb blew the front tire out on the kids bicycle.

  No wonder I used to play with fire.

  One time I took some of my dads cherry bombs with me when I spent the night over at some other winesses house and I woke up real early in the morning and went to the back of the house and layed down some news paper, layed the cherry bombs on top of that, covered it with bricks, lit the news papers, went to the front of the house, and watch a horrific site with such noise and bricks flying every where even way above the house.

  i thought i read here that the gb as a group is saying that individually they are modern day apostles.. can someone please confirm and give references.. thank you in advance.. .

  I remember at this Watchtower study it said that the elders had the ablity to perseive what is beyond normal, and I know this elder who can not remember anything, first I was affended that he never did anything he told me he would do, I finally fugured out that he has a bad memory.

  Jesus sent in the disciples ahead of himself to Jerusalem, there was complaints made to Jesus about the people coming in telling them that he was coming and Jesus replied that if they did not do it then the rocks would cry out.

  I recken if Jehovah could make the rocks cry out he could make a zomby cry out.

  Twilight Zone Marathon July 4th weekend

  all black and white, with some actors who went on to become well known stars.

  i only watch a few because my grandson (deceased) loved them!

  Ya I just finnished watching one, don't recall the name but it shoud have been called the last man on earth.

  Fine demonstrtion how important it is that we need some kind of companionship.

  seen the movie before, but it had been so long ago I did not remember how it went.

  Been so long ago sense I have had a beer too. Let me see if I remember how to drink one right now.

  Christendom - Who are members?

  i was talking to a co-worker who is seventh day adventist and he mentioned the term christendom.

  i asked him what he meant by that term and he said it was religions who claimed to follow christ but do not.

  i asked him if this included jw's and he said it did as they were part of this false christianity that jesus would one day judge as unworthy.

  Reminds me of this book study,I vagly remember the details but it was about Jehovah's book of memory that Jehovah never forgets you when you do something for him, and there was this City that Jehovah had destroyed because there was so much wickedness, but Jehovah provided one of all the people that was destroyed with a proper burial showing that jehovah never forgets.

  Well I think I may have done something for Jehovah, @ least I tried and I can't go to very many meetings for verious reasons and I am not married to an elders daughter. I even have some very rough looking friends, and I will get dirty looks from witnesses if they see me with them.

  I guess I will have to wait and see if Jehovah remembers me.

  to jehovah's witnesses: i commend your zeal for god, your desire for accurate knowledge and truth of the bible, your goals of drawing close to jehovah, and following and obeying christ's teachings, and your time spent studying the bible.

  Very well put.

  I would like add: I agree with Bush, he said if you harbor a terrorest then you are a terrorest.

  If you harbor a child abuser then you are a child abuser is what I say.

  And a comment on line 18 Chalam, Jesus said to keep doing this in rememberence of me. I think just that to "keep doing this" not just once a year like JW's do.
