it doesn't take much, just stop going.

you don't even have to do it all at once; maybe do one meeting a week for a month, then one meeting a month for two months, then just stop going.. what's going to happen?.

Glad its workin for you just seems kinda sad to worry about what everybody thinks and not have the guts or intestinal fortitude to actually stand up and be a man and say Hey this isn't for me. (You seem kind passive aggresive)

I know I had some misgivings with elderly parents actually loosing their identity in the cong because of now not having a rising star elder in their family but I think I gained more respect from them , no I know I gained more love and respect for actually honestly leaving.

Those friends were not really friends just scared timid friendships that were based on performance and low self esteem.

I guess there comes a point when you have to take responsibity for being in that awful place that you or I allowed ourself to be and face the fear, I guess its good that your wife and you still have it going on thats pretty important just seems like a kinda CASPER MILKTOAST thing to stay!

Anger, hate, suffering

i find myself feeling angry.

i'm starting to realize that the anger i feel at this religion seems to feed on itself.

soon, i will be tried for my 'crimes' by men who honestly don't believe themselves to be policemen.

So much truth in what you say. You really have a grasp on where your at.... the good and the bad of it the miserable and the sad of it!

You say life has no meaning? you feel sad.... a conscious mind only for the sake of knowing you're going to die?

We have all allowed this religion to take a serious chunk out of us emotionally. Where else would someone who is so full of good and honesty be so f>>kd up. ME INCLUDED of course.

Take a BREATH!.......... allow yourself the dignity to feel bad and miserable at times ..............But be cognizant of the fact that it alsoimportant to identify or recognize feelings of depression and seek help when it becomes all too much.

TRY NOT TO ALLOW YOURSELF THE LUXURY OF A NEGATIVE THOUGHT ............................. FOR HALF A DAY!

SOMEWHERE THERE HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF REWARD FOR US PERSONALLY AFTER HAVING GONE THROUGH ALL THIS B.S.!

Newbie here, need some input

i wanted to introduce myself, and need some advice.. i dissassociated myself back in 1995. haven't had much of anything to do with my family since then.

they are all witnesses, and very dedicated to their beliefs.

so after 15 years without a simple howdy from them, now they are coming around again and being very nice, but it reminds me of when people would have parts in the ministry school...it seems rehearsed and fake.

Stand firm in the fact that you made the best decision of your life to leave. I had very similar situation in my life with an old friend who looked me up (active JW) and wanted to see me. I was as honest as possible and replied to him each time after he made his first of many condescending remarks:

Wow! I cant believe your so together? I thought that you would have been all screwed up being in the world now!

My reply:

Well I guess that just goes to show you that I made the best decision for myself, your right I have really changed as a person I am way more blunt and honest than I have ever been in my life! I hope that maybe we can remain friends although we are both two different people now. Your not going to count me as a RV now and count the time for coffee too are you?

we all remember the doctrine of blood guilt,now for some time i have been of the belief that the gb are blood guilty for the death of the witness in the german concentration camps,they were told to preach against the nazi party ,which is in violation of the bibles principle of 'being no part of the world' and is verging on political action.

this work drew attention to themselves by the german authorities.

had they just been good christians and keeping out of politics none would have died in the camps..

Horribly blood guilty, wasted lives, I know a father that let his kid die beacause of a blood issue. I would have taken the hit and gotten df'd anyday in order to save a kids life. I would have even risked hell to do that for my kid what a sick sell out..................

Is regularly texting/phoning someone (not your partner) cheating?

hello - can i ask you all for your opinions?.

if your partner (husband/wife, gf/bf etc) was phoning and texting someone approx 20 times per day,would you find it unacceptable?

for example, if your wife was texting/phoning another brother (also married) 20 to 30 times a day, would you get suspicious?

Your sis has gotta stop being the victim and say to her man that this is pissing her off and it better stop. If it doesn't stop then she's got to level with her man............. to man up, and stop being a wimp. Take a hammer and smash the hell out of his cell phone until he stops buying them..... don't let your man push you around Sis!

Women are really treated as lesser in the BorgOrg.........damn another thing for them to answer to.

about 2 weeks ago i met a guy online, we chatted on the phone one evening and had a good conversation and aranged to go on a date this friday coming.. since then i have heard almost nothing at all from him!

i think about 2 texts and thats it!

in one of the texts he hints that he would like to see a picture of me "wearing alot less".

Mama will not be transfused

i've been a long-time reader of this site and have found it everything from informative to entertaining... but i'm now posting because i'm craving the ears (or eyes, i guess) of people who understand.. .

my mother was just last week diagnosed with an "ovarian type" cancer.

the oncologist discussed with her how far the cancer has already spread, and said she would operate immediately to remove as much of it as possible, but would not proceed if my mother resisted a transfusion as the risk of blood-loss will be too great.

Hopefully you can step in and save this womans life if she needs blood. Perhaps family members could somehow help to represent her medical decisions in that the disease and the stress could have clouded her thinking? her next of kind or sons or daughters?

i am so thrilled to find this forum.

it is such a relief to know that all of us 'apostates' are normal people who had the nerve to question what has been crammed down our throats.. i am 4th generation ex-jw with family members at bethel, doing missionary work, and pioneering.

even though i have been out for almost 20+ years, i still had guilt admitting to myself that this was a cult-like organization until just recently.

This site has also rekindled some of the anger that I have for the BorgOrg but has solidified some of the insipidness and unkindness and outright FALSENESS of this organization..... it claims that a bunch of old men are actually inspired from God! did we really believe that? I have lost friends and a family member due to the blood issue.................how sick is that.
