Ever seen a levitating object?

i know this will get some wisecrack posts (because, i probably would if not starting the thread) but, honestly......have you ever seen a levitating object?

please tell your experience.

I was a witness a the and I had a pickup at the Kenneth Copleland ministries, this fanatical religious nut claimed to be a born again christian and was always trying to preach to me and try to get a rise out of me. He would pray out loud and speak in tongues regularly when I would show up, so I'm not sure, if it was just that he freaked me out quite a bit or what was about to happen really was my own suggestion.

He had some chocolates in his hand and said would you like one? I said sure, I put my hand out and rec'd this candy in the palm of my hand, I noticed that he was praying at the time he gave it to me. Just a second later he dropped it into my hand and it was vibrating just for a millisecond it lifted off my palm and it had some kind of electrical charge...... not like static but more powerful. The charge went up my wrist and arm and through my chest, really wierd wasn't sure what it was or how it happened just know it happened.

He just smiled and his eyes rolled back in his head and started speaking in tongues. I popped the candy in my mouth and thought frick what was that? It was just a normal candy.

i have just gotten out and am free at last!

my brother did so a few years ago and has been such an amazing help to me these last few weeks.

i was raised a jw, disfellowshipped when i was 17, married a non believer and then dragged back in by my family.

Very Very similair story

Its all about the kids and not ever feeling guilty about manipulating and trying to control their sweet, beautiful open and non prejudicial minds ever ever.

Never Never allowing some stupid belief ever jeopardize their life because of blood and refusal in a serious situation.

What were we thinking to stay as long as we did.

The thought of ever having to step back into that KH sends me into panic mode, never the boredom repititious nonsense ever ever again!

Its a miracle that you and I are out!!!!!!!

Why does the WTBS hate sex so much?

now i know they try to control everything and pretty much ban anything.

but sex seems to be somthing they can't stand and would like to get rid of completly if they could.

so many articles and so much conusel about not having sex or having anything to do with sex from any angle at all.

Because the GB is old and can't enjoy it or havnt been able to enjoy it ever cause there not sexually active and they want to GUILT everybody else and screw health normal people's lives DUH!

Ha too funny guys! Just to think we used to lap it up well sort of kind of? Did we really? ahhh hard to believe we were ever in that state of mind, what were we thinking?

They are such evil manipulators, influencing weak people to risk their lives and their childrens because of some stupid belief system they have adopted, working on people to cause guilt, the oldest trick in the book............. one step lower than snake oil salesmen!

Does anyone else have a morbid obsession?

i have to admit to having developed a very strong obsession with my own mortality in recent years, since breaking free from jw doctrine.

i think about death a lot, and if i really sit and think about it hard, i can freak myself out big time!

i dont want to think about it, and outwardly its not apparent to other people, but it is something that seems to pervade my thinking, something that haunts me.. perhaps i should be excited, because i realise that on the whole what i came to believe as a jw was fabricated, and maybe there is an amazing afterlife to experience, but at the same time i do tend to agree with jws about death being the end, i just dont agree with the whole resurrection claim they add on to it.. i have known two people who were temporarily 'dead' on the operating table, one of whom was dead for several minutes(one of these people is a friend who shrugs it off like it was nothing!).

This is all a holdover from the JW philosophy, kinda shows that you really havn't moved on from your old peramiters of thinking. Life and death mentality is nurtured by the JW's it is fear based and you seem to still have the fear.

Obsessive behavior is pretty common amongst us..... who could have been more obsessive than me...... all those hours over the years standing on the street corner, knocking on doors...........whew what a waste.

Your obsession is also a waste of precious time and energy and could be a form of depression? Have you been able to sit down and man up to the feelings with somone who is a professional? maybe it would be a good time now to consider.

Psychiatry really helped me to get over the negative self speak from years and years of manipulation and control..... it takes some time to counter all that negativity with positive good vibes and is well worth the struggle and effort. I wish you the best you deserve it!

I totally agree with you brainwashedfrombirth, its all crap , prayer was just a form of meditation and self psyke up .... OK here's the reality check you may need.

ITS IN YOUR RIGHT AND LEFT HAND TO MAKE WHAT YOU WANT OUT OF ANY SITUATION THAT COMES UP IN LIFE.......

NOBODY TO BLAME OR MAKE AN EXCUSE OF EITHER BEING NOT SPIRITUAL ENOUGH OR LACKING THE HOLY SPIRIT......

THAT IS PRETTY SCARY FOR MOST WHO ARE IN THE BORG....

ARMAGEDDON? WHO WOULD WANT TO SERVE A GOD WHO WOULD ACTUALLY KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE? OR SERVE A GOD THAT HAS ALLOWED CHILD MOLESTERS TO WANDER FREELY AMONGST ITS THRONGS..... NOT ME!

ITS ALL UP TO US INDIVIDUALLY TO MAKE DECISIONS SOME RIGHT SOME WRONG AND TO ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES SOME NOT EVEN IN OUR CONTROL THAT MAY EFFECT US IN A POSITIVE OR SOMETIMES NEGATIVE WAY.

WORK AT REMAINING HEALTHY, HANDLING YOUR STRESS THROUGH EXCERCISE OR SOME FORM OF MEDITATION

NEVER FORGET TO THANK YOUR PARENTS FOR CONDITIONING YOU AND MANIPULATING YOU WITH GUILT...... THANKS MOM AND DAD! PARENTS WHO ACTUALLY SOLD US DOWN THE RIVER AND WORRIED ABOUT WHAT BORG BROTHER AND SISTER THOUGHT EVEN MORE THAN THEIR OWN KIDS!

GIVE YOURSELF A HUGE SLAP ON THE BACK FOR HAVING THE INTELLIGENCE AND WHEREWITHALL TO GET OUT .....THAT IS A FRICKIN MIRACLE

Feeling Unfit, Fat and Unhealthy

a semi-serious request.. i hate exercise (yes i am an indolent slob), i sit in an office or a car most of the time and eat and drink too much.

so my new year's resolution is to lose weight (about 3 stone would be good) to try and prolong my life a little since i ain't got eternity in mind anymore.

i am looking for fun ways to get fit, or an effective home based diet programme that has worked for other people.

Undermining confidence in the wonderful Borg

hi , i need some help to convince someone that feels the problems all lie with people in our congregaions that are 'imperfect' , but that the fds and the wt are wonderful .

i am doing this over the net , and have sent articles on the spanish bethel .. has anyone any suggestions on subjects / info to undermine their view that all is rosy in the borg ?.

What's in it for the Governing Body?

for many jw's, they point to the gb as wonderful examples of zealous, humble, older men that are only serving jg for right and correct reasons.. unlike many of the preachers we see on tv, they are, and this is the important point, 'not in it for the money'.. of course we see them differently on this site, exposed many times over, as being self-serving hypocrites.. but if you want to win-over a jw doubter, this is one of the questions you have to answer.

"what's in it for the gb member?

why are they doing this if not for the money?".

Duh..... homemade ice cream flavoured with maple syrup hot crispy apple pie! The actual belief that if they talk all mature and confident in low tones with sincerity in their voice that they will actually be believed by the group. Masters at disception, lies, control and laziness never having to turn over a shovel and actually make a living.....................easy retirement the list goes on and on and on....... surrounded by beautiful young men?
