  i'm new here but have been lurking here for a couple of months.

  i am 3rd gen born in but have been inactive for a few years but always had the intention to make another go of the truth, but not now that i know ttatt.

  i became inactive due to the inhumane treatment from family members who are elders.

  This just amazes me. The jws encourage ones in the world to have an open mind to the possiblity to change their beliefs, yet a jw cannot have an open mind to accept a line of thinking other than the WTS nor change their beliefs. It is wrong and stupid to force such a line of thinking upon their members. It is the old line of thinking that I have the true religion and all others are false.

  Amazed how the 2nd suspect is able to avoid getting caught. Can't imagine a city lockdown and the emotional trauma it may cause.

  when i was bringing my daughter back to her mother's house two elders stopped me and told me they wanted to talk.

  i said i didn't have time, they asked me if i wanted to stop by the kh on saturday to talk to them.

  i said i didn't have time.

  You handled this situation well. I agree that no information given them the better. If they are after you, then let them work for it. No need to place yourself in the torcher chamber with a couple of elders.

  I feel that I have been blessed and cursed by being a jw. When I was a jw, it prevented me from becoming a drug addict or an alcoholic. I did have some good friends in the cong. I dropped out of higher education because of being a jw and possibly lost out economically. There were so real back-biters in the cong that were out to hurt me and my family. So it was a mixed experience.

  My Left Leg Was Amputated

  i have been out of commission for several weeks.

  back around the first of the year i developed an infection in my left foot.

  due to diabetes and poor circulation the doctors were unable to save my foot and so i received a below the knee amputation.

  Comedian Jonathan Winters Died Yesterday at 87

  always loved his comedy - very inventive.

  in his later years, he was a fixture around town.

  he'd hang out (sometimes in front of the market, or at an executive services office in the village) and do comedy routines and banter with anyone who came by.. .

  I always enjoyed his humor. Loved when he would double as another character with himself also on same scene. I thought my dad was strange for seeing who died close to his age. Now I am doing the same thing.
